Probably good value for Blazers but we value Batum far more then his trade value is worth. You can keep the 12th pick and we'll keep Batum and throw in our 1st this year and it would be a heck yeah from the Blazers. Do the Bobcats even want Blake though with DJ and Felton there already. Blazers would prefer to keep him and just give cap space so it'd be.....

Portland wasn't willing to to Batum with Raef's expiring contract for Crash at the trade deadline, so it's doubtful they pay more by trading him and 2 more key players this summer.

Portland passes fairly easily.

EDIT: Oops. I completely missed where the Blazers were also getting the #12 pick. Please disregard the above comments and see my post below...

bobcats turn this down.

wallace/terrence williams is a much much much better sf line than outlaw/batum

I honestly can't believe Portland fans are passing on this trade.

Gerald Wallace is one of my favorite players in the league

but he has 4 years at 9.5 million a season left on his contract. He has only played 60+ games 4 times in 8 years with is best season being 73 games......

A risk that I'm not willing to take if it means giving up our pick and our best SF prospect.

It's a great deal talent wise but too much risk IMO.

EDIT: Didn't see the 12 haha......reading comprehension FTW.

With the 12 involved, we have to do it.

I gotta be honest, I completely missed that the Bobcats are trading the 12 to Portland along with Wallace. I thought it was Blake, Outlaw, Batum for just Wallace. That changes things quite a bit.

I'm still not terribly comfortable losing our veteran PG, potentially leaving our PG rotation up to Bayless and a rookie from the #12 pick, but the value is a lot better than I mentioned in my previous post.

Real Portland fans wouldn't pass on this trade... I don't think many of them saw the #12 in there.

but why not just take out batum and the 12th pick. We value Batum more then the 12th pick and almost no teams do value him as much as 12.

I would do it, but not sure if KP would deal batum. I would offer a good amount for GWallace. Something like Blake/Outlaw/#24/2011 protected 1st.

I think PG is the position the Blazers need instead of a SF. Problem with Wallace is his contract but the the package of #12 pick is tempting.

I fail to see how Batum, Outlaw and a 3rd 2nd make us a better team than Crash/12th? Even if we take out Batum and the 12th...why would we then swap Crash for Outlaw and a late 2nd?

Why does Charlotte want Blake? They already have Augustine and Felton. I also do not want to see Batum go anywhere. I just don't think this trade makes much sense overall. Portland needs to upgrade their PG position, not their SF position. i'm confident with Batum and Webster next season at the SF position. I am not confident with Blake, Sergio and Bayless at the PG position.

I think its because there have been a rash of "Bobcats cutting payroll" threads as of late....

Here's one Blazer fan that would make that trade in a heartbeat. Crash is exactly the tough 3rd scoring option that we need. Bring it on.

I don't see CHA doing this trade. Wallace is probably one of the toughest players in the NBA. Batum, Blake, and Outlaw are just role players, not difference makers. Adding in the 12th pick, just makes this deal even more unfair.
