I combined the Love for #2 rumor and the Miller for #5 rumor

Minnesota Out: #18, Love, rights to Pekovic, Miller, Madsen for #2, #5, #27, Pecherov, Stevenson, James, E. Thomas
Why? They can draft #2 Rubio, #5 Harden, #6 Hill or #2 Rubio #5 Thabeet #6 (Evans?, Holliday?, Curry?, DeRozan?) to pair with Jefferson

Washington Out: #5, Pecherov, Stevenson, James, Thomas for Buckner, rights Pekovic, Miller, 5 million dollar TPE (could be used to get a pick from someone, or part of a bigger trade for an all-star player)
Why? The TPE would be nice flexibility right now with some many teams wanting to cut salary, the same goes with Buckner and his partial guaranteed contract, it is a great trading piece or he could be waived to lower team salary (buckner and the TPE would go a long way in getting a big name star), Pekovic could become a good player if he is brought over, Miller would make Washington a better team, and I know this isn't popular with the fans but it would save the owner (8 million (double that with the luxury tax), and if Buckner is waived 11 million in salary would be cut from next season).

Memphis Out: #2, #27, Buckner for Love, #18, Madsen
Why? They get Love who would be the perfect piece for them. He could be their #3 or #4 option on offense (let Mayo and Gay get the majority of the touches), he has great positioning without the ball on offense and he would open up the floor very nicely for Memphis as well, and probably most importantly he would be the rebounding machine that they need.

This stinks for the Wiz. The only bad contract traded is Stevenson in that whole package, and all we end up with is a TPE and Miller. Yuck.

Unfortunately, from 2008 according to draftexpress.com Pekovic has expressed that he does not like the NBA and presumably is not interested in playing in the NBA. Maybe some Wolves fans can shed some light on that. Now if he really is a serious prospect and his buyout will not be a hindrance and he does want to play in the NBA then he would bring at least some value to this deal, along with Miller and the cap savings. That's a lot of ifs and maybes for trading the 5th pick, even in a supposed weak draft. So that would be another no from a Wizards fan.

I think that's overpaying for the #5 in this draft.

Its supposed to get them a starting SG, Pekovic, move a bad contract, and give them "just" a $5 mil TPE ($13 mil in savings)?
