Raptors reject, we can go sign Marvin if we wanted without giving up anything. So it essentially becomes Bosh for Noah and that is horrific for the raps.

Raptors would have to overpay for Marvin, and even then it's not guarantee he'll sign with them(see Ariza, Trevor)

we'll take that chance, Marvin isn't exactly a once in a generation player, if we don't get him its not a big deal.
