Andrea Bargnani was finally moved into the starting lineup on a full-time basis on December 31 this past season.

From that point on, he posted this line: 47gms, 35.3mpg, 19.1ppg (46.7fg%, 43.5tp%, 82.1ft%), 6.1rpg, 1.2blk, 1.5apg

If he continues to do that - and there's zero reason to think he won't, since he did it consistently from day one in the starting lineup - then he's well worth $10 mil, and is probably even a bargain.

At their levels right now, I'd say Varejao's contract is accurate and Bargnani is overpaid. I think Varejao was at least as good as Bargnani last year in an overall sense. However there's a decent chance Bargnani's contract could be a steal in a few years if he stays in the form he showed the last half of the year, so it balances out. I think it's most likely he ends up around Okur/Rashard level, at which point 10 mil/yr. is fine.

any of the main stats sites will have him. just go to his espn profile page and click "splits".

I actually calculated these numbers from his game logs, though.

He got 6, 42.5 The 6th year is only partially guaranteed. Incentives in the contract could potentially make it worth up to 50 million.

Gortat EASILY is the most overpaid.

Anyhow Bargs is more overpaid than Varejao.

Basically Anderson is better at everything except shooting and thats really not even that important for big men. Anderson is a better defender, rebounder, inside scorer, and playmaker (mostly on the defensive side). He also has improved steadily every year of his career, which makes me wonder why everyone thinks he has no potential. He is being paid a contract that he is already worth. He is a starter on the team that led the league in wins last year.

Bargs put up bigger scoring numbers, but shoots 10% lower from the floor. He has an offensive game with clearly more potential. he may even become a decent or good defender, but I doubt he ever becomes as good at defense as varejoa already is. I also dont ever see him becoming better than bad at rebounding.

As it stands right now I think Anderson is worth about 7 million a year, and bargs around 5 or 6. Bargs has more room for improvement, but I dont think he will ever be worth 10 million a year, he has to many flaws other teams can exploit.
