^If I am misinterpreting your argument, I genuinely apologize; I do try not to do that. But given that you responded to this:

No, there is a huge disparity between teams, even if they didn't make the playoffs. If the Heat didn't get Wade back, you seriously think they would have made the playoffs as the 5th seed last year? When your 2nd best player was a rookie?

with this:

And then went on about what happened 8 years ago in the Western Conference, I think I can be excused for not following what that all has to do with beating Orlando or Cleveland next year.

I was just trying to prove that championship teams are the ones who matter at the end of each season. Not which team is better than the other. If Wade wants to leave, how would Chicago help benefit him winning a championship if they are not built for it with Wade. Rose and Wade are both the same exact player. What makes Rose and Wade successful is a three-point specialist who can catch and shoot (Ben Gordon and what Kapono or 1st half Cook was). Miami's chance to bring in a low post offense stud is a lot better than Chicagos.

Hence, why Chicago's "greater chance of landing Wade" seems a bit ridiculous.
