Memphis Gets: Gearld Wallace + TE + 2012 2nd rounder
Why?: Memphis gets rid of Rudy Gay , who they probably won't retain, and turn it into a solid player in Gearld Wallace who is a better fit with Mayo.

Charlotte Gives: Gearld Wallace + TE + 2012 2nd rounder
Charlotte Gets: Rudy Gay + Shaun Hunter + Mike Taylor
Why?: Charlotte gets Gay who can can carry the load offensivly and and expiring contract for Gearld Wallace

Not bad, but Gay will be up for a new contract after this season and will likely cost about the same as Wallace.
I still think they do it, but it isn't much of a financial move.
I've tought about this move before and I like the look of it from both sides. Gay isn't a great fit in Memphis and Charlotte would do good bringing the age of their core down even though Crash isn't so old himself.

I think Gay's likely FA price kills this deal, but the deal makes a ton of sense for both sides basketball-wise.
