ATL - Boston trade

Post#1 » by azuresou1 » Tue Dec 1, 2009 9:42 pm

Atlanta sends:
Joe Johnson
Zaza Pachulia
Randolph Morris
1 Second

for

Ray Allen
Kendrick Perkins
1 First
2 Seconds
... from Boston.

Atlanta trades away a very talented SG who is likely to walk away next season and a beloved, solid backup C for a still very good SG who is not very ball dominant and a young, bruising C, which lets them shift Horford to his natural 4, and Josh Smith to the 3, creating a crushing frontcourt of doom. It also nets them a few picks, for what it's worth.

Boston trades for a Top 4 SG which pushes them over the top.

Boston cant afford to lose Perkins, he has some of the best post defense in the league and allows KG to roam and play at his best defensively aswell

He would be absolutely perfect for the hawks, but hes the deal breaker IMO

But then Boston can start Sheed and move Zaza to backup C, with Big Baby as backup PF - still a solid big man rotation.
