I agree with sixerswillrule, this is an easy no from Denver. Brand hasn't been able to stay healthy and has a lot of money and years left on his deal.

That's an easy No from Philly. IF they move Brand, Speights is the heir apparent. Why would they move both?

To add incentive to take on Brand. If not Speights, then add Iggy.

Yes, if this was simply a Brand for Martin deal. It's not...

Re: Nuggets/Sixers - Brand trade
Why does "Sixers trying to unload Brand" get interpreted as "Sixers willing to give assets if someone will take Brand"?
If they can't move him on his own, he won't be moved (I know, that means he probably won't be moved).

Brand will be worth 2011 expirings eventually. The Sixers should add an all-star caliber player or potential all-star to make it happen now? Yeah, okay...

Re: Nuggets/Sixers - Brand trade
and you get the contract which is expiring after next year. Brand's contract SUCKS, and for us to take that over puts us in luxury tax hell for several years. PF is where we need depth, and frankly there is no one else on your team that we would need or want.
I get that you like Speights, but if you have Kmart starting, you don't really need him now, do you? Plus all that cap room to sign a free agent, just when your young core starts to come together. Balkman, who doesn't get playing time anyways here, is a nice defender and a "hustle" guy. The 2nd was a courtesy - I'll even throw in Malik Allen, who's also an expiring.
If you think about the cap ramifications and the future of your team, who frankly isn't going anywhere this year anyways, it's not all that bad, sixerswillrule.

Philly is better off keeping brand then moving him straight up for KMart, nevermind adding 'dumping' speights.
ZOMG RealGM wire tap said sixers will do anything to get rid of Brand!!!!111 *sigh*
