Why for Chicago?
Talk about blowing up the team? Pretty much trade everyone here, but the team just doesn't fit around Rose (the future) so try and add players who can. Free up MAX cap space for 2010. Add 2 low post scorers with Bynum and Boozer. Jerryd Bayless can back up the point and play some SG. CJ Miles adds 3 point shooting. Travis Outlaw is a temporary SF but mainly an expiring.

Why for LA?
Become straight up BEASTS. One of the best starting 5 in a LONG time. Bynum and Gasol were fighting for baskets. Noah can come in and Gasol can take over full reigns down in the post. Hinrichs defense will help the team, PLUS Salmons off the bench? Yes please. Take on a lot of money though, but with that team its worth it.

Why for Portland?
They lost their big guy Oden for the season. Jerryd Bayless is demanding a trade. Rudy Fernandez is out with a back problem. (and is stuck behind Roy) Nothing is going right for this team. So they consolidate there small pieces for a big one. Luol Deng has came back to form and can finally fill the void at SF. James Johnson gives you some flexibility with is ability to play the 3 and 4. They add another 1st Round pick which is always a plus.
*Portland is the only one I see iffy on this trade. I tried to look at it like this:
Martell Webster and Rudy Fernandez = Luol Deng
James Johnson = Travis Outlaw
1st Round Pick = Bayless

Why for Utah?
Carlos Boozer is as good as gone next year. So they try and get as much as they can for him. When Korver expires Webster can replace his 3 point shooting. Rudy Fernandez can also add 3 point shooting and fill the void at the 2 guard. Tyrus Thomas can be the temporary replacement for Boozers absence. Not to mention Morrison and Tyrus both expire at the end of the year.

No need for Boozer if we have Bynum. Gimme a 4 that can space the floor better. Deng (or Tyrus if he finds the stroke he's been working on for years) works very well with a big bodied, legit low post option at C.

Dude, Gasol and Bynum are not having problems. Even if they are, we are not trading Bynum just because they are. Even if we are trading Bynum, the packages available for him are near-endless so its just not right to take in JUST (emphasis on just) Hinrich and Noah. And assuming this is the best available package, we will live with our problems as long as we are winning 80% of our games.

Asking Bynum to be traded has about a better chance as Kobe or Lebron signing for that minimum article.

the Deng to Portland trades have really been a fad lately

At least this one has the one component that would be absolutely necessary for portland: Webster going out. That's about the only way the Blazers could begin to accept Deng's contract

But Portland would NOT ship out both Rudy and Bayless in this deal. The Blazers would have to keep Rudy and the Bulls could top-10 protect the pick

I still doubt the Blazers would take on Deng's contract though
