PHI - HOU - OKC //Philly rebuilds completly

Post#1 » by Dan Verze » Sun Jan 3, 2010 3:13 pm

Phi trades: Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, Lou Williams, Samuel Dalembert, Jason Kapono, Willie Green, Jason Smith
Phi gets : Tracy McGrady (exp), Kyle Lowry, Nick Collison, Joey Dorsey, Brian Cook (exp), Etan Thomas (exp), Matt Harpring (exp)

Why for Phi: they clean the house + get a young PG

Hou trades: Tracy McGrady, Shawn Battier, Brian Cook, Kyle Lowry, Joey Dorsey
Hou gets: Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, Lou Williams, Jason Kapono, Willie Green

Why for Hou: they get a superstar in Iggy (they have to eat Brand’s contract for that), a young talented combo guard and some bench depth

OKC trades: Nick Collison, Etan Thomas, Matt Harpring
OKC gets: Samuel Dalembert, Shawne Battier, Jason Smith

Why for OKC: they get their center & size for their frontcourt & a vet coming off the bench who brings defense

Rosters:

Phi:

Lowry/Holiday
Iverson/Ivey
McGrady/Carney
Young/Collison
Speights/Thomas

Hou:

Brooks/Williams
Iguodala/Green
Ariza/Kapono
Scola/Landry
Brand/Hayes/*Yao*

OKC:

Westbrook/Maynor
Sefolosha/Harden
Durant/Battier
Green/Smith
Dalembert/Krstic

Houston won't take on that much salary in trade, not even for Iguodala.

I like that you say Iggy is a superstar, but other than that it's a huge no from us. Does OKC even want Dalembert?

Good for Philly. Bad for Houston and terrible for OKC.

Add up all the millions HOU is adding, and I think you'll realize that this is an easy "no" from them.

Sorry, but zero chance Dalembert is our center. This has been talked about so many times already. See the Jeff Green thread for the latest. Now if you want to figure out something that gets us Bogut, Bynum, Okafor or Kaman then that would be worth looking at.

So Philly and Houston should just swap rosters and see how it works out?
