Hornets - Bobcats - Kings

Post#1 » by Mich3006 » Thu Jan 14, 2010 12:50 pm

Hornets deal: David West
Hornets receive: Kenny Thomas, 1st Rd Pick Bobcats, 2nd Rd Pick Kings

Bobcats deal: Boris Diaw, 1st Rd Pick
Bobcats receive: David West

Kings deal: Kenny Thomas, 2nd Rd Pick
Kings receive: Boris Diaw

Hornets: Paul, Brown, Stojakovic, Wright, Okafor (Collison, Thornton, Posey, Thomas, Songaila)
Bobcats: Felton, Jackson, Wallace, West, Chandler (Augustin, Murray, Henderson, Brown, Nazr)
Kings: Evans, Martin, Casspi, Thompson, Hawes (Udrih, Garcia, Nocioni, Diaw, Armstrong)

Why: The Hornets get off a long-term contract, receive an expiring and two picks...The Bobcats add inside-scoring in David West...The Kings add a solid player who fits perfect in their uptempo game

I guess I would do this trade becuz David West is exactly what we need to damn near guarantee playoffs and thats a low post presence...but for as much **** as Diaw catches on these boards I would hate to seem him go & I think Larry Brown would too. His skill set is unlike anybody else on our team and he can play multiple positions and generate ball movement on offense which is what LB is always preaching....think he just wants him to be more aggressive offensively.....

Doesnt matter anyway becuz our 1st rd pick that is now owed to Minnesota (via Denver) has protection on it we cant trade a first rd pick until that pick is excercised and I think the protection runs thru 2014....if we dont make the playoffs obviously we are in the lottery & MIN doesnt get the pick this year or next year if we miss again, so we cant trade another first until the one they own is used anyway

Diaw would be nice BUT not at that ridiculous figgin contract...are you kidding me! The guy doesnt even produce numbers as a starter for the BOBCATS... We're no fools anymore! We're not trading for or signing guys who produced sweet numbers playing along side great pg's ANYMORE. Ex. Mikki (and one!!!) Moore playing along side Kidd. And now Diaw who played along side Nash!

Diaw's contract makes this a pretty easy pass for Sacramento.

Helllll no.

Diaw would be helpful but not at all worth that chunk of cap space, given that he doesn't really bring what we need.

DX isn't as much a inside scorer as he is a midrange jump shooter, and he's declined a little. he won't bang in the post or get big rebounds anymore

Kings would much rather have David West! :)
