EDITED: Miami becomes a dynasty (Mia/Tor/Phi)

Post#1 » by SuperCoolBeas30 » Sun Jan 24, 2010 6:23 am

Toronto Trades
-Chris Bosh

Toronto Receives
-Michael Beasley
-Quentin Richardson
-Miami's 1st (via Toronto)
-Miami's 1st (2012)

I've seen this trade tossed around. If Chris Bosh won't resign this seems like a good deal for Toronto before the deadline.

Philadelphia Trades
-Andre Iguadala
-Samuel Dalembert
-Elton Brand
-Jason Kapano

Philadelphia Receives
-Jermaine O'neal
-Dorrell Wright
-Udonis Haslem
-Miami 1st (2010)

Value seems poor for 76ers but I've seen the trade tossed around as well, of Dalembert and Iggy together in order to cut salary. A pick could also be sent from Miami to 76ers if needed. I edited to include Jason Kapano (additional savings), added a first round pick, and changed Daequan Cook to Dorrell Wright (who has more value around the league IMO). Edited for the last time, I added Elton Brand from 76ers and Udonis Haslem from the Heat.

Miami Trades
-Michael Beasley
-Quentin Richardson
-Jermaine O'neal
-Dorrell Wright
-Udonis Haslem
-Miami's 1st (via Toronto)
-Miami's 1st (2010)
-Miami's 1st (2012)

Miami Receives
-Chris Bosh
-Andre Iguadala
-Samuel Dalembert

Rafer Alston(33)/Mario Chalmers(23)/Carlos Arroyo(31)
Dwyane Wade(28)/Daequan Cook(23)/Jason Kapano(29)
Andre Iguadala(25)/James Jones(29)/Yakhoba Diawara(28)
Chris Bosh(25)/Elton Brand/Jamal Magloire(32)
Samuel Dalembert (29)/Elton Brand/Joel Anthony(27)

Young team that could compete every year for a championship for the next 5 years. Still has the MLE to sign depth at either PG or C. They could resign Q-rich (Wade's good friend) and/or Udonis Haslem with part of the MLE and/or take a veteran bellow with the remaining.

MLE Options:
-Derrick Fisher
-Kurt Thomas
-Marcus Camby (would be a perfect fit)
-Allen Iverson
-Steve Blake

I think you'd have to swing a few first to Philadelphia or take on Brand instead of Dalemburt to get this deal done for Miami.

Yeah, at the very least, be willing to include a Haslem/Kopono swap to give them some more savings. Dalembert's contract is bad, but it isn't this bad.

Toronto should be able to do better than that for moving Bosh. Easily.

No from Philly. We wont giveaway Iggy unless perhaps it involves Brand.

Include at least one of Jose Calderon or Hedo to Miami or it's a no go from us. Beasley has issues and doesn't have Bosh's value yet and Q-Rich wouldn't get much PT here.

This is a huge pipe dream for Miami and they rob two teams here

Toronto should "easily" be able to get better then Beasley and 2 firsts? Right.

Pat is happy to wait till July & see who wants to sign on then. No need to get desperate now that we only have less then 6 month to go.

The point is...while it would be great for Miami to be a power team...and they would be after this gift of a deal...it's not in the interest of either the Sixers or Raptors to do this deal. In the short or long term. There is just no incentive for anyone other than Miami's well being for this deal.

I don't get how you can say it's not good for the Raptors I think it's more than fair. As stated in the first post, assuming that management thinks that they won't be able to resign Bosh closer to the deadline this deal makes sense. They get two firsts and Beasley.

The 76ers have stated that they would trade Brand/Dalembert along with Iguadala for Tracey McGradey as an expiring. They are getting the same expiring, a young player in Dorrell Wright, and a first round pick. Plus they are shedding a huge amount of salary, which is the direction I thought the franchise wanted to go in.

The 76ers part is questionable but the Raptors are not going anything more for Bosh than expirings, Beasley, and a pick.

I'd take it as a sixers fna if we dump Brand and all of those contracts are truly expiring.

Jermaine, Udonis, and Dorrell are all expiring this offseason.

My mistake. I must've been thinking about the pre edited version.

Any deal that turns Iguodala and Brand into 2010 expirings is pre-approved from Philly as long as we're not asked to give up a 2010 pick or Young or Holliday.

It probably might be good for the Raptors, except we have no NEED for Beasley. If you want Bosh, then take Hedo or Calderon with him, or else this package isn't enough.

The edited version does not work $-wise!

MIA takes in about $3m more than they can under the CBA rules. JJ would need to go out. I'd be fine just sending him to PHI or TOR and doing the rest of the trade as is.

MIA (& maybe TOR as well) would probably prefer taking out Kapono, then sending Chalmers/Cook/JJ to TOR for Calderon & TOR waiving Q so he can resign here. Calderon/Q would worth more than Chalmers/Cook/JJ(Kapono).
They would need to pick up 1 more back-up wing & big in the off-season then they'd be set long-term!
