Phx/GS - Amare-Randolph

Post#1 » by Dr Positivity » Fri Jan 29, 2010 9:05 pm

Phoenix gets:
Anthony Randolph
Speedy Claxton
Vladimir Radmanovic

Golden State gets:
Amare Stoudemire
Taylor Griffin

Why for Phoenix? They get a young prospet in Anthony Randolph for their rebuild and they cut 3.3 mil immediately, which doubles to 6.6 mil with the lux tax and gets them within 1.6 of the league dividend. Doesn't look like Amare's value is too high right now

Why for Golden State? They're apparantley looking for another all-star so in comes Amare. Curry/Ellis/Maggette/Amare/Biedrins is a nice starting 5, on paper anyways. There's something about Amare and Golden State that feels right

They also dump VladRad which helps their financial situation next year after giving Amare a max contract

The Warriors are not giving up Anthony Randolph just to rent Amare for 10 weeks. Warriors pass.

hahaha Warrior fans trying to tell people they would pass... Phoenix would pass obviously, they get nothing in this deal except Randolph and even take on Radmanovics contract.

The Warriors are for sale they'd be happy to get any expiring contracts for that crap.

You think the W's want an expiring contract for Randolph when he's still on his rookie deal?

You better believe the Warriors want to get rid off contracts like Radmanovic before a sale. Keep on dreaming.

There is absolutely ZRO point for the Warriors to do this. Why would we give a western rival our young PF prodigy all for the low low price of 10 weeks of the extremely overrated and underwhelming current play of Amare the gimpy 1 eyed no D max contract stat whore (Please Use More Appropriate Word)?

Absolutely ridiculous. So I am awaiting the trade to be announced.

Why are you assuming Amare won't resign in Golden State? He would take the 130 mil contract there.

Amare's agent has told the Warriors FO his client does not want to play for Golden State. Trading any long term assets for Amare is literally like flushing them down the toilet for a 10 week rental.

PF prodigy bwahahaha, seriously every single Golden State Warrior player is so massively overrated it isn't even funny.

It's always the same yet GS is a notoriously bad franchise.

No problem. Just take your trade proposals elsewhere because Golden State isn't interested in what you are trying to sell especially since you think every single player is badly over rated. The last 3 players traded from GSW were Jaamal Crawford who has played a major role with the Hawks and is a candidate for 6th man of the year, Marco Belinelli who is a rotation player for the Raptors and Stephen Jackson whose presence on the Bobcats has propelled them from a lottery bound team to one headed for the playoffs. Think their team regret trading for these over rated players?

I dont want Amare Stoudemire ANYWHERE near the GS Warriors. At first, that may sound stupid because we havent had a dominant big since Webber I guess, but in my opinion, Amare Stoudemire is NOT worth a max contract. Whoever forks out for his services next summer are going to be shooting themselves in the foot as he has Brand and Jermaine Oneal written all over him. Has anyone actually watched him play lately? His athletisism is going down fast, he's dumb as dog shat, is just about the worst defensive big you could watch and without Nash he's going to be very offensively challenged. The guy had 1 REBOUND yesterday, to go along with his 5 turnovers. The TNT crew hit it on the head yesterday saying that if the Suns could get some young bigs in return for STAT they would be laughing, so I dont want the Warriors to be the franchise that bails them out here.

IF we traded for Amare now, we are giving up assets for him and he will more than likely bolt UNLESS we fork out MAX dollars on him, which he is not worth. We are better off just staying away from the entire Amare situation as it will cripple us either way.

My 2 cents really. It would NOT suprise to see Amare in a Warriors uniform in a couple of weeks however as our front office is dumber than a horses azz.
