Don't see the Nets valuing Young, Holiday, and the 6th higher than having a very talented potential franchise PG in Wall? I don't

Re: if NJN choose to trade 1st pick?
In a normal trade scenario, if a team trades the top asset, they should expect to get the 2nd- or at least the 3-rd best asset in return. In this deal, we send out John Wall (19yo PG with All-NBA+ potential on a rookie-scale contract), and we get neither Amar'e nor Iggy. Easy no from NJN.

Brutal for the Nets.

New Jersey and no other team will trade the #'1 pick.
Phoenix won't trade Amare simply for Iguodala, if we had any interest in that we would just sign Amare to an extension.
And how does Philly get in the deal? Phoenix would certainly rather get the #1 pick than anything Philly has.

Re: if NJN choose to trade 1st pick?
The ongoing uncertainty of Amare signing with anyone in particular throws a huge complication into an already bulky deal. If he's just a rental, goes away next summer.....then Wall almost has to be Oscar Robertson 2.0 for this to help Philly.
T Young....is real good. I don't see Holiday as more than a hyped role guy. #6 gets Couzins? Maybe, but he's rising. There will be someone who sees him as Bynum minus the injury fears.
Suns? If they figure the are losing Amare, this is decent, though I think they'd like to get a big guy.
NJ......even if they really like the value, how much impact do they see a touted #1 having in terms of image and PR? They want to move and to lure a top FA. Young + #6 might actually match Wall in value, but not in perceptions.
Difficult. ANY large, multi team deal has difficulty. Add in the rather iffy stuff...Amare's intetions,Wall's real worth,Who's #6, is Holiday a real plus........and you get GM's who are scared to fail.

I wouldn't want Iggy or Amare and their expensive deals (or Amare's ability to bolt)
I don't get it.. this happens now, since isn't Kapono an expirer (and Collins)?
In which case there is no guarantee NJ has #1.
If that's the case, it's really not that bad, but NJ would need..
Philly's #1
T.Young
Holiday
R. Lopez or M.Speights
to consider this.

Jesus this is awful. Who cares about Thaddeus Young? And Holiday wasnt even good in college.
If we traded the #1 pick, I'd expect Chris Paul coming back. It would absolutely have to be for a top 10 player.
