76ers/Rox/Suns - The Same Cast of Characters
Philly trades:
Iggy, Dalembert, Carney, 2010 #2
for
T-Mac, Battier, Dorsey, Houston #1
L.Williams / Holiday / Ivey
Iverson / TMac / Green
Battier / T.Young / Kapono
Brand / J.Smith / Dorsey
Speights / Brezec
-TMac has recently expressed interest to play in Philly
-Long-term financial relief
-Extra #1 pick
Houston trades:
T-Mac, Battier, Dorsey, 2010 #1
for
Amare, JRich, Carney
Brooks / Lowry / Taylor
J-Rich / Budinger
Ariza / Carney
Scola / Landry / Cook
Amare / Hayes / Andersen / Yao
-Gets Houston back in the playoff race
-If Amare re-signs or does not opt out, the team is scary when Yao is back
Phoenix trades:
Amare, JRich
for
Iggy, Dalembert, Philly #2, $5.5 TPE
Nash / Dragic
Iggy / Barbosa
G.Hill / Dudley / Clark
Frye / Amundson / Griffin
Dalembert / Lopez / Collins
-Gets Phoenix under the tax (I think), thus saving close to $15m (salary, tax, payment)
-Gets the player they want Iggy
-Extra pick in draft where they don't have their 1st

No thanks. If you asked T-mac if he'd like to play anywhere he would say yes. He just wants to get on the court. We don't want Battier, we'd rather you leave him out. I like Dorsey though, and the pick is a start. But I'm not approving any trade where we give away Iguodala.

I think Houston needs to send a little more and Phoenix needs more in return.

I added Carney since it looked like Philly needed big man depth, more than wing depth.
Maybe W.Green goes out instead, though I doubt the Rox would want him.

Rumors have surrounded a 2 for 2 swap of Amare/JRich for Iggy/Dally. This way they get a #2, and the financial savings this season are major.
Ideally, I think Scola would look great on Phoenix and keep them legit in the West, but I'm not sure how to get him there.

Would you rather have Ariza?
I figure you wouldn't want his long-term deal.
I don't know which Houston would rather keep.

Re: 76ers/Rox/Suns - The Same Cast of Characters
Rockets decline. Our management doesn't feel like Amare is worth the type of contract he will be seeking. J-Rich and Carney are garbage. This trade wouldn't put us over the top and would certainly be overpaying for J-Rich whenever Amare bolts next summer. The Rockets were rumored to be interested in Amare earlier this year but that ship has sailed imo.
I'd prefer the Rockets to keep their young center in Dorsey and their potential lotto pick in a deep draft and pursue Bosh in the summer via sign and trade.
I'm at the point where I think the Rockets are just going to keep T-Mac and let his contract expire.

I'd rather have Ariza, Brooks or Lowry. Don't think Houston parts with Ariza though. But yes, if you turn it into Iggy, Sam, Carney for T-mac, Ariza, Dorsey, 1st we would take it.

I don't think anyone thinks Amare is worth the contract he thinks he's worth, thus Phoenix is shopping him, and thus he probably does not get the contract he thinks he deserves, and may just not opt out, or settle for a comfortable offer from a comfortable team.. Houston?
If he does opt out and by losing Battier, wouldn't you guys have max cap space, and be able to purse Bosh regardless?
Also, I had no idea, Dorsey had any true value, considering he is an undersized 2nd rounder playing in the D-league. I know Houston went into the season w/o Yao, an unproven Andersen, a useless Cook, so I thought he would have cracked the rotation. Would subbing in any other big make a difference?

Re: 76ers/Rox/Suns - The Same Cast of Characters
You can gladly put in Andersen and take out Dorsey. David as fallen out of the rotation and Dorsey has finally gotten his chance to play. He has been solid on D limiting his bone head fouls and producing on the boards.
Rockets like him but he was too foul prone to stay in the game. That is why he has been playing in the D league. He has beastin down there as well. 15 ppg 14 rpg and a couple blocks. He is our future.

Also, , what bigs does see as part of their core they want to keep?
Cook - obviously no
Yao - obviously yes
Landry - team option they will pick up
Hayes - team option I assume they pick up
Andersen - locked up for a few years
Scola - restricted FA
Dorsey - non-guaranteed for next year
FAs- ??
Draft picks - ??
That seems like a lot of bigs to clog the roster with.

I wouldn't cause if we leaves we still don't have cap space to do anything with Richardson's contract on the books. If Yao was playing this year it would be a different story.

I think you'd have to remove Houston's 1st to even get them talking.
