The kings like evans a lot and he simply wouldn't fit with Wall so the kings move Wall and a big man for a better big man and a lesser pick. The trade with the kings upgrades the roster for the nets and gets them a big man back and they can use Harris to net another upgrade somewhere.

Maybe for the Kings it's a fit, but certainly not the Nets.

I like how a few people just simply say deal Harris for a big man. I guess we've forgotten how difficult it is to trade small for big in this league. Heck, how many years did the Knicks (Houston/Sprewell) and Nets (Carter/Jefferson) try to trade one for a PF and repeatedly come up empty handed?

Again the logic was.. if NJ drafts Cousins, Cousins proves to be the real deal, but is truly a C and he and Brook don't form a good pairing.

Look at some of the line-ups we would have post trade:

OKC
Lopez, Harris
for
Westbrook, J.Green, Ibaka, PHO or OKC #1

Westbrook
T.Williams / C.Lee
J.Green / CDR
Ibaka / Yi
Cousins / Humphries
+
$25m in cap space
DAL #1
OKC #1
#31

DET
Lopez, Harris
for
Stuckey, Jerebko, #1, 2012 #1

Stuckey
C.Lee
T.Williams / CDR
Jerebko / Yi
Cousins / Humphries
+
DET #1
DAL #1
#31
$25m in cap space

PHI
Lopez, Harris, CDR
for
Speights, T.Young, Holiday, #1

Holiday
C.Lee /
T.Young / T.Williams
Speights / Yi
Cousins / Humphries
+
PHI #1
DAL #1
#31
$25m cap space

MIN
Lopez, Harris, DAL #1
for
Rubio, Love, Sessions, CHA #1

Rubio / Sessions
C.Lee / CDR
T.Williams
K.Love / Yi
Cousins / Humphries
+
CHA #1
#31
$25m cap space

I think that Portland could get Lopez for Aldridge+Rudy+1st/cash...The nets would have to throw in some fillers, but it could work.
Maybe if we could also find a way to get Harris too, the deal becomes alot more enticing for both side imo.

I don't see the fit with Harris and Lopez along with Miller and Oden there alredy.

I was assuming PDX would end up sending Andre too, and I'm not sure how ANYONE in Portland feels about Oden and his long term plans in Portland....is he ever going to play a considerable amount of a season? who knows?

Taking on A.Miller and LMA is alot of salary.
What would you offer in addition for Harris + Lopez?
Miller
LMA

I think you’re wrong, since Lopez is already better (and younger/cheaper) than Aldridge, Rudy doesn’t have much value and a low 1st has very, very little value.

Offering up a mix of a near super-star S&T (Joe Johnson); Pachulia, Bibby and Hawks first for Harris Lopez.

Bringing in a third team is an option.

I'd sign and trade Amare for Lopez and whatever NJ might want to dump if we can't keep Amare. I'd also throw in a pick.

C-7'+ Robin Lopez
F-7'+ Brook Lopez
F-6'10+ Earl Clark

That would be a huge frontcourt.

Noah, Deng, Chicago 2010, First Bobcats pick for Lopez and Lee.

Nets (assuming they land the 2nd pick and sign Amare)
Noah/Udoh
Amare/Yi
Deng/Hayers
Turner/CDR
Harris/Dooling

50+ win team

Chicago (assuming they sign Joe Johnson and Scola)
Lopez/Asik
Scola/Gibson
Johnson/Johnson
Lee/Murry
Rose/Hinrich

50+ win team

As a Kings fan I'd do the Kings 2010 1st, 2010 2nd, 2011 2nd, & Donte Greene

^^^Not yet he isn't. Brook needs to actually provide some wins 1st.

I don't know why people are surprised this Nets team is so bad. They were supposed to be bad. They cleared out the expensive veterans, lost a bunch of games, but developed their youth and are set for a top 4 pick. That's how you're supposed to rebuild.

But enough of the rant. I'm biased, but Brook is one of the best young centers in this league. Westbrook is nice, but not close, as size wins out, and Westbrook is playing with some guy named Durant.

That is terrible logic.

Lopez > Westbrook by any valid metric and it's not like the Nets would be better / have more wins with Westbrook than Lopez

MIN
Lopez, Harris, DAL #1
for
Rubio, Love, Sessions, CHA #1

Initially I thought no since I think Rubio is untouchable and I really like Love, but that is about fair value. Although I would remove the picks since the trade makes more sense after the draft when both teams have cap room.

I would prefer the following trades though

#2: Rubio, Jefferson (instead of Love), Sessions for Lopez, Harris - this would help Timberwolves cap situation more

#1 Flynn, Jefferson for Lopez; you can keep Harris and deal to 3rd team.

Atlanta could offer one of their stud PFs - Smoove or Horford - for Brook, but I just like that duo too much.
