"But if we're playing a team that likes to play small ball, you'll probably see his minutes around 20 or 25." With a lot of the league gearing towards a small ball movement, there will likely be a lot of games next season where Whiteside doesn't eclipse the 30-minute mark.
I must be the only one who is seeing way too much talk from Hassan. He talked even more when this quote came out. Sooner or later he is going to have to prove all this bravado. Not saying he can't but the guy has only played half a season....he still has to prove not only that he can get back to that level of play but wether he is able to sustain it. The guy is already going at players like Green, who more than proved himself in the NBA finals and wears a championship ring. Hassan ain't proven much in the bigger scope of things & still has to put in alot of work.
Love the confidence but it's beginning to sound like ego now. Hush up young fella and let your game speak. You are going to be a target this coming season - approach the games and season correctly.
He didn't go at anybody. Draymond Green was the one who called him out, not vice-versa. Speaking of Green, he spoke the same way last season, and the seasons prior, before winning a ring. Was it not okay then and only now okay because he's a champ or what? Where's the logic?
Hassan was a target last year. Obviously, ego has helped him to this point. Hate this mentality that every player has to have a completely sparkling public image. Nobody would care about what Hassan is saying if his game didn't speak volumes for him.
