how are we supposed to stop Durant, or anyone to stop him. The dude can shoot over anyone at ease. Contesting or not, it seems like it doesnt matter.

I didn't see the presser, did he actually allude to it tonight?

Yep.

Look at my SPO Learning thread. He learns after losses. He coached game 1, like it was a game 7. Expecting LeBron, Bosh, Wade will go HAM again in the 4th. It cost the team.

He admitted that he will open up the rotation next game and had no reasons for why he didn't play more guys, What a clueless coach.

Alright guys, I'm bringing out the big guns. My Shawn Marion Heat jersey is getting worn on Thursday.I use it only for the rarest of occasions, my rule is once a season. In 2009, I wore it for Game 6 against the Hawks, Game 4 against the C's in 2010, and Game 2 against Chicago last year. Let's hope the worst purchase of my life can give us another big win.

You have never seen it cause you are too young to have seen Jordan play. MJ played tenacious defense for every possession. He even would guard the opposing team's best players.

You act like LBJ is being asked to do something never done before. Stop repeating that garbage, I heard it before and it's a myth. Many players have done it before and didn't complain.

Sorry dude I saw every game that Jordan played during his 6 championship run and he never had to play the best offensive wing player. That went to Pippen 9 times out of 10.....especially in the last 3 championship runs.

I was going to reply, but he beat me to it. Pretty much what he said and yes i did watch Jordan. Although the fact you are putting Lebron up there with him is not bad company right?

There was also hand checking, so it was even harder for Jordan to score. He was also double teamed... or even quadruple teamed but when you have a jumper, it's hard to be stopped. It's why Durant is looked upon as a special player. He can shoot.

LeBron and Wade's jumper is streaky. Wade has to be 100% for it to work.

Yeah but LeBron actually shoots the midrange jumper better than Durant.

That aside, why are we trying to tell Lebron to "suck it up" just because Jordan could do it? He ain't Jordan, but luckily, the vast majority of championships are won by players that didn't have to play like Jordan to accomplish it.

We wasted Shane and Rio's efforts.

Remember what happened when we wasted Mike Bibby's 15 pt effort last year in Game 2...

Sorry at 35 Jordan did not guard Ewing, Penny, Shaq, Malone, Kemp or Payton during those last 3 championships. But he did guard Hawkins, Houston, Jeff Horny, Chris Mullin and Reggie Miller (when Harper did not guard him).

Your mistaking Jordan and Pippen. Pippen always took the hardest cover to conserve Jordan for offense. At the end of games Jordan would guard the opposing best player.

Here we have Lebron playing Pippen and Jordan's role which is bleeped up

Cant stop him when the ball is in his hands. But LeBron can do a job of denying him the ball and forcing him into a trap.

jordan is over rated. Lebron could drop 50 points without hitting a jumper.

I like how as soon as he said (before the game) that he was only playing 8 players, all of us were like, :o WTF? Why only 8? Who's he playing? Where's the minutes going to come from?

Now, after the game, he finally realizes "I'll probably dig a little deeper in the bench". You serious dude? Glad it took losing Game 1 to realize something that's pretty common sense.

True...but Pippen would guard the best players even at the end. Unless they were a big then the multiple centers or Grant/Rodman would guard them.

We can stop Durant... if we don't blow leads and miss shots.

This team man.... it's obvious who the best player on the other team is... but we allow them to go off.

Our defense needs to have better assignments or something.

Hard to go to sleep when you are a combination of worried/anxious, and pissed as **** at the monstrosity that was our offensive&defensive breakdowns :(.

Me and a few others are making adjustments as well. We dropped the ball in game 1. If we keep up our end. Spo wont have to worry about adjustments.

Where did the poster state his/her age? - There has never been a player in modern day basketball asked to do as much as this one player(lebron) is asked to do under the same amount of pressure and scrutiny - it's not just the minutes as others have said and I AM old enough to remember the MJ years.

Anytime you rely on one player to do so much, you're not really coaching. You're just playing or overplaying your best player in a structured system.

I remember when Joel Anthony scored like 10points in Game 3 against Celtics and we lost during the Semi-Finals.
