He was over exaggerating obviously, not everything is so literal but yes Bams offensive game is neutered in Miamis scheme.

It's like you didn't watch the video before posting this. I read the tweet and had to watch the video because it didn't sound right, the tweet was right.

Nah I watched the video, he over exaggerated with 30 then said he needs to take 8 more shots. No one has even taken 30 to my knowledge, not even in this inflated stats era.

Not everything is so literal, especially with Michael fuxkin Beasley of all people

The Beasley OG episode is good. Reinforces some of the disconnect Spo has with his players and their development. Im surprised he didnt talk about Jovic getting the Beasley treatment. Beasley also said we are not seeing what Bam can do, He should be getting 30 shots a game. Its not Bam, Bam is just a company man walking the company line. Hopefully Spo will loosen up and let the players do what they can really do.

Niko as a starter (27 games):

7.6/3.9/2.0 in 21.3mpg on 42% from 3 (1.5 / 3.6).

Per36 numbers are 13/8/4.

Hopefully with another offseason of development, the Olympics and Training Camp, he'll come in ready to put up numbers similar to that per36 from next season. 3rd year leap.

Bam without Herro and Jimmy this season: 24.5-12.5-5.5 on 58% 16.8 shots a game.

Those are elite numbers, especially when you factor in he’s the best defender in the world. Get this man some help this summer, all hands on deck for DM with Bam being the only untouchable (unless Jimmy goes playoff Jimmy in the playoffs again)

If Jovic can be current Franz Wagner at his peak with better shooting I’d be pretty happy.

Eliminating last second grenades (including his game winner against the Pistons) bam is shooting 44% from 3 this season on 7-16 shooting. His 8 makes this season tie the amount he had made prior to this season for his entire career. It’s likely that over the next 3 games he will hit 1-2 more and either tie or surpass his career total in this 10 game stretch alone.

We’ve been waiting on this for awhile, I hope there aren’t any setbacks. The jumpers looks great, I was actually shocked he missed the 2nd one tonight

His stroke on the J has looked good for a couple seasons now. I'm glad both Spo has loosened the reigns on that shot, and Bam has decided it's a good look for him.

Outside of a couple of bad stretches, he's been very good this year. Availability is underrated, and whatever you say about his game, the man always shows up to play no matter what.

Hoping he can put the team on his back here and carry us to the 6th seed, albeit it seems we're destined for the play-in.

My guess is less off the bounce game than Wagner, but it's a good comp. Jovic has made tremendous strides with his spot up shooting and defense this year. Next step is to add more options to his offensive repetoire, albeit that spacing is super important alongside Bam and Jimmy.

I truly think he has another level or two to go. He doesn't turn 21 until September, so he's about about a year younger than Wagner.

Feels like a lost season due to injuries/not caring.

On papaer I still think this team could have ben better then last year finals team, but the team is too injured/soft to play to their potential.

Just very disappointing approach. We don't bring the fire to make any playoff noise, this team is done.

PS - Get Herro out of here, don't pay Martin, and get bigger and younger for next year.

Man JJJ concerns me he's shooting 31% from 3pt and can't get by anyone off the bounce (no real dribble moves e.g crossover/behind the back) for the last few months, I still think he's playing hurt or I hope so rather than teams simply have scouted and other than off the ball stuff can't really do anything with the ball.

Wagner was born 2001 (August) Jovic 2003 (June) more like a 2 year difference but yeh Franz is a more coordinated athlete and has a smoother better handle and much better at getting to the rim while Jovic is bigger/taller and better shooter if he's anything like Franz that would be huge that's a legit 3rd option on a excellent team (Franz atm is a 2nd option on a 4th seed).

Hopefully they let Niko run pick n rolls with Bam next year he was tremendous at that in the ABA that was his main strength at the time when he was only shooting 34% from 3 point land 2 years ago. Coming out of the ABA I compared Jovic to a mix of Ja better oe Ingils with a splash of Gallo due to the pick and roll game (Joe was elite at in Utah) but Joe didn't have all the other scroing stuff Jovic had other than going left of a pick and roll and shooting 3's. Jovic got mid range game and showed post up stuff (have not seen much post up stuff from him in the NBA).

It’s super disappointing looking at the standings and seeing had we just been locked in even a little more over the 7 game losing streak and recent 4 game losing streak we would be the 3rd seed with a little cushion. We’d be matched up with Orlando round 1 and then our sons in the Bucks round 2.

6th or 7th seed is easily our best route to the ECF again; preferably 6th but that’s only the case if the Bucks and Cavs hold on to 2 and 3. Not sure they will.

I think teams have just figured him out and know how to play him now. Hes been very mediocre for awhile now, I just hope he isn’t killing his value.

Three issues, 1. refs are not giving him calls which he should be getting for his style of play, 2. Defenders have caught on that he is not gonna try and dunk the ball and will try to do an underneath layup which defenders are timing to block, 3. He has to get his midranger and 3 point shot down consistently so defenders cant just predict his layups and sell out to block it. He has the game to be a 20 pt scorer, but like all rookies he has to master his game. I think JJ can be a good third teir guy. Once he starts drawing fouls, hitting the midrange and 3, anf dunking, defenders will have a harder time blocking him.
