It's a smokescreen because they are doing all they can to show none of this was prearranged. It's a charade. If, for example, they all decided to work out contract parameters to sign and also get melo there would be a potential investigation. They are putting up a front to avoid this. The big 3 will re-sign.

Might as well listen to every drake song ever made and create a web of interconnected lyrics and use metaphysical harmonies and advanced calculus to figure out how the release dates corresponds with his legacy.

Is the release of "trophies" a good sign for him to return? Did the forever music video influence LeBron to join Miami? Is drake the main source behind all these recent tweets?

Agents do what best for themselves and their client

You would be surprised the power clients give to their agents. that's how it is in every field. Rich Paul is also Lebrons good friend, so I wouldn't be surprised. Yes it sucks this is happening but Lebron out it all in his agents hands. People do that

I took that as a given, with us in LA. Ariza and Pau I just assumed, the only question is whether we're meeting with Melo IMO

If it indeed is a troll. Then LeBron is still a jerk for going along with it.

WTF for? We just lost the finals and we're in attention seek mode?

And for the record. There should be no "put the pressure on Riley" excuse either. He's done his job time and time again and this is how he/his agent reacts. Its BS.

Why? Cause you "don't know" for a few extra days. Think big picture dude.

And here we go!

Ramona-@ramonashelburne: Pau Gasol will indeed meet with the Heat, according to a source.

Considering Melo was trying to recruit Pau while in LA, I would think he isn't too far

mopper8 wrote:So, to recap the news of the day:

- While Lebron vacationed with his family, officials from potential suitors met with his agent in Ohio. One such executive left convinced that the whole thing was a smokescreen, while another insisted Lebron could consider leaving Miami if Riley doesn't add some talent to the roster.

- Riley and Spo met with their free agent targets in person in LA.

Okay, that was fun.

it's pretty funny. no real news, just rumors yet there is a 3 year old nearly 900 page thread on realcavsfans.com chronicling their love/hate of lebron. about 300 pages were added in the last 2 weeks based on all these rumors

I know it's frustrating for us as fans, but NBA players basically only have 1 period of time when they can really exert power over their team, and that's free agency. When they're coming up on a free agency they can demand a trade, promise not to extend/re-up, whatever, but that can be very damaging to a team in-season (see: Carmelo in Denver, Dwight in Orlando). That's not Lebron's style, dude puts team first. So this is it--his last real chance to truly empower himself without doing the whole cut-off-your-nose-to-spite-your-face thing. Can't fault him for using it, dude wants to win titles.
