Would prefer if he didn't say he didn't care, then subsequently call it motivation, but I like it either way.

ESPN just f***ed up again

Healthy Wade will emerge again and drop statistical bombs on those fools again. PLUS another ring ;)

I'm already fed up with the Wade disrespect ever since his 2nd year in the league, so this ain't nothing I haven't seen before.

OtW wrote:ESPN in full blown Wade disrespect mode. LMAOOOOOOOOO #8? That's a **** joke. THere is no way the gap is that big between Kobe and Dwyane, where Kobe is two spots ahead. As Heat fans, we know where we stand on the issue of who is better. At worst, I'd put Wade and Kobe interchangeable at the 5/6th spots of the top 10. Wade had a season below our expectations as well as his expectations, But, he was still pretty darn efficient. I also do not think that Rose has broken into the top 5 yet. He broke into the top 10 with his MVP season no doubt, but I just can't see how he is better than Wade at this point. He didn't play a full season last season due to injuries and will not be ready to go for much of this season due to the unfortunate ACL tear. There is no way we can measure that.

Unfortunately, we know that Wade will never get the credit he deserves (as seen by the votes in MVP/All NBA Teams/Defensive teams over the past few seasons). An OT, but necessary, even bigger question reqarding the rankings is how in the hell is Blake **** Griffin ahead of Bosh and Pau Gasol? Did Blake lead a team yet like Bosh did in TOR, or made a difference on a championship team like Gasol did? Has he even learned how to play D and gotten a mid range game yet?

and LMAO at KLove being a top 10 player. We have to see how he does on this TWolves team that is more than capable of making the play offs this season.

Whatever, Wade will have a great season this year with better off ball play, a wet mid-range jumper, and ring #3.

The fact that Griffin is ranked so high shows you that those rankings are purely based on the normal statistics and highlight plays. We don't even have to discuss CB's skill arsenal, but I'm a true Gasol hater, but you can't deny his incredible and unique abilities for a guy his size. Both Bosh and Gasol can be number one option on playoff teams and have proven so in their respective careers. All his athleticism aside, Griffin just doesn't have the skillset to compete with those guys.

Spoelstra predicts Wade will reclaim some of his quickness after knee surgery:

"I think because of this summer you’ll see a great bit of that athleticism come back. ... He's a warrior ... winning player … You're going to see the cat quickness again."

Wade plans to play in the preseason
by Ethan J. Skolnick

Dwyane Wade surprised his coach, but not himself, by participating in practice for a second straight day.

“I’ve been doing everything I need to do,” said Wade, who is nearly three months removed from knee surgery. “Every day is different, but if I feel good, I’ll continue to go. If I feel like I need to not push it, then I will do that as well.”

Wade said swelling wasn’t an issue Tuesday, and hopes it won’t be Wednesday, so he can participate in the evening scrimmage.

What about the eight preseason games? There has been speculation that he wouldn’t play in any of them.

“I don’t know where that came from,” Wade said. “I will try a preseason game. At least one. It will be more than one. It won’t be eight, but it will be more than one. If I continue to progress the way I’ve been progressing.”

Following practice, Dwyane Wade confirmed he has left Nike's Jordan Brand, but declined to discuss his impending move to China-based Li-Ning. Wade switched out of sneakers after practice back into Jordan Brand flip-flops.
Said Wade, "I did mutually part ways with the Nike umbrella. I have parted ways with Jordan Brand."
Chris Bosh was held out of practice by coach Erik Spoelstra, with Spoelstra saying Bosh had soreness in his knee.
Of sitting out Tuesday, Bosh said, "Just training camp legs, just getting really back, acclimated."
Mario Chalmers also was held out of practice, after Spoelstra said Chalmers took a blow to his quad during Monday's practice.
Mike Miller again was limited to only a portion of practice.
Of Miller, Spoelstra said, "He's been doing something every single practice, and we want to keep it that way."
Wade went through Tuesday's entire practice, with Spoelstra saying the team would reevaluate Wednesday, to see how Wade came out of the session.
Wade said his surgical knee has not been an issue during camp, "I've been doing everything I need to do."
Wade said there is nothing to speculation that he will sit out the entire preseason due to his knee. "I will try a preseason game," he said. "It will be more than one. I won't be eight, but it will be more than one."
Spoelstra, on how the team's newcomers are adjusting, "Guys that are new are picking it up really quickly."
Bosh, on next week's trip to China, "That jet lag is a beast. You need about a week to get adjust again."
Asked what fans should expect at Wednesday's open scrimmage at AmericanAirlines Arena, Bosh said, "A bunch of talented, young, hungry players ready to defend their championship."

smart move by wayne way, li-ning is about as popular of a brand besides nike that there is in china the largest market in the globe.

now hes going to get even further exposure and dollars while li-ning now has a viable superstar unlike scrubs like evan turner and baron davis.

jordan brand was supplying wade with trash outlet-clown shoes anyways. heres hoping that they cook up a crazy shoe for him

Wade:
The whispers of Wade declining began during last year's playoffs and have continued with the notion he's "NBA old" at the age of 30.

Rather than say he's a few years away from a rocking chair, Wade will just ignore the outside criticism.

"You know what I've decided," Wade said recently. "I've just decided not to comment on it any more."

....

"Any time someone questions you, it's going to bother you if you have any kind of competitive nature," Wade said. "It fuels you. You want to see what you're made of in a sense. You want to come back and not only answer the bell, but do a little bit more than expected."

....

Wade calls the talk, "just speculation, man."

"I'm not really worried about it, I'm going forward," Wade said. "If anyone asks me anything about that, I'm not answering. I don't want to talk about it. We can talk about all that when I get done playing basketball. Right now, I'm one of the best players in the league, and I come in every year and try to work as hard as I can to try to stay there."

...

"At the end of the day, everyone looks at points," Wade said. "That's what they look at. No one said anything about how my defense has been as good as it's been. No one said anything about how efficient I was last year. I shot 49.7 percent from the field, so that means I hit half the shots I took. People don't look at that. I can't worry myself with that. The only thing I can do is, whatever role I have to play, is play it."

...

"We put this team together knowing that you're going to sacrifice," Wade said. "In a perfect world, if everyone could bring their (old) averages, then we would never have to play a game. That's not the case. When you decide to come together as a team, you sacrifice something. Other teams have done it, and it's a pat on the back for them. When I do it, I've lost a step. It is what it is."

Spo:
"He was not healthy last year," said Spoelstra, who used "a young 30" to describe Wade. "The most important thing for any player in this league is your health. What's sad is [Wade being old] was the story line instead of being the ultimate competitor. That is the amazing story. He helped lead us to a championship. The story about him being old is exaggerated and absurd to us."

Haslem:
"Nobody wants to hear Dwyane is still just as good as he was before," Heat forward Udonis Haslem said. "It's not as controversial as saying Dwyane Wade is getting old. Guys like Dwyane, people don't understand when they piss him off, that's going to make him play better. Keep talking that craziness … When he's pissed off, he plays better. I know that look on his face."

I'm way too excited for this season now.

A little inefficient but a good game overall from D-Wade

29 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block.

His jumper is still off but maybe it will get better with time.

Wade's jumper looks good when taking in rhythm and not off balance. But tonight was a pretty good night for him. He needs to get back on defense though...
