KingDavid and PaulieWal said it all, to me the biggest factor for Oden is time. He needs time to get back to being what he can be, im optimistic about him for next year, after a training camp and more work with Zo.

About this year, he'll still be a positive, but not as big a positive as he could be. It's just too soon.

As I read the health plan article written about dwade and tim grover I realized Oden is basically on the same plan. We haven't seen him play one back to back all year I'm pretty sure. At the end of the day none of the relevant series in OUR playoffs will be back to back. The past few games oden has been able to give us 15 minutes per game which is EXACTLY what we will need from him vs Indi.

Right now the entire thing is perfect. We just need to get our chemistry rolling intime for playoffs.

Oden tried his best but obviously he just couldn't stop Hibbert. And I'm not going to give him crap for it. Oden has been out for what? 3-4 years and he's being assigned to stop guys like Al Jefferson, Dwight Howard, and Roy Hibbert? Trying to body up those guys (especially Howard and Jefferson), is no easy task.

Haslem did an amazing job stopping Hibbert tonight and I hope Oden took something away from it. You will get yours in no time big fella. Just keep your head up and keep working hard.

The key vs Hilbert is limiting his impact on the glass and not allowing him to get those little bunnies around the basket. Oden did a good job of that on a limited basis. He still has plenty of work left to do.

I really doubt we see Oden the rest of the year. Maybe he'll be back next year for the minimum. Who knows what can happen with him continuing to develop and get back into the swing of the game

Yeah I imagine at this point they're just going to keep working on him, and try and bring him back next year. Hopefully he wants to come back. I think it's kind of amazing that he just completed an NBA season. Surely that has to build some trust with him.

I would be surprised if he don't see him vs indiana and the spurs.

I don't think we'll be playing Indiana lol but he'd be useful against Washington as well.

i actually really liked it when he was starting, because the lineup worked well and then allowed for flexibility -- could stay big by swapping in Bird for Oden, or go small.

Do we have any updates on Oden at the moment? How is his conditioning so far? I've read one of the main things he needed to do was to cut down on some weight and the last time I saw his weight it was around 270. Surely he should be a lot more conditioned if he's participating in the practices.

I'm still pulling for Oden to get healthy and be ready to log in more minutes whether in the playoffs or if he decides to sign with the Heat again next season.

Damn. It must be hard for Oden seeing KD do his thing while he sits on the bench wondering whether or not he'll get some playing time. Being the #1 pick and just seeing your career go downhill due to injuries must eat at Oden everyday. I really hope Oden gets a ring this year. Sure, he'll get that Eddy Curry/Dexter Pittman type treatment from people for not contributing much but still getting a ring. But I just want to see him smile and experience holding up that Larry O'Brien trophy.

Hang tough big fella. Just continue to work at getting healthier and conditioned so that when your number is called, you'll be ready.

Would be pretty sweet if he gets a ring before Durant.

its ok by now that he will never be a 40m player..but i think he can be a 20m with huge impact in the game. Just lets see if his body hangs on..hes had to much pain to fail now. I believe in oden and i have faith. He worked his ass off but life is trully a bitch sometimes..get well oden and be happy.

I always figured that major contribution was going to be next year. The way he played this year was well beyond my expectations. So I am very excited about his potential next year.
