10/24 Heat @ Grizzlies 8:00PM SUN SPORTS

Post#1 » by DefenseWins » Wed Oct 22, 2014 3:38 am

Ha I finally make game threads and we win meaningless games

Going into this game, starters won't likely play. It's gonna be another battle of the benches game.

This means we're a step closer to the final roster cuts. Who do you think makes the roster?

I think Birch needs a spot... he actually rebounds.

dont think it will be possible being a mod for a month

it will be great to make a contest this year with

MVP (Most Valuable Poster)
Rookie of the year
Defender of the year
Offensive player

1st team
2nd team
3rd team

etc...

Maybe we could do it monthly and not wait until the end of the season

We could add it under our avatar like the "Retired mod" etc... 8-)

Over/under how many rebounds will we get? they are rare enough as is for us. If Dwight destroyed us last night on the boards, imagine what Z-Bo/Gasol will do.

Bosh gotta put on his big boy pants for this one.

What do you guys think of Rio as back up SG?

extremely small sample size but the times he has played back up SG with Napier, he has very impactful. He looks competent. It's just when he handles the ball he does some stupid **** as usual, but Rio is making strides.

Cole did look fine too, got into foul trouble. Guessing they'll ride Cole out to start til they trade him (if it happens).

I'd be surprised if Wade,Deng and Bosh played, especially being the last preseason game.

If Chalmers plays well enough maybe we can use him as a trade piece to get an impactful frontcourt talent?

I'd only trade Rio for a Center. Not many people in the league though need a guard like Rio...

I don't even think there's a viable Center out there for us to get with Rio anyway. This team also seems very loyal to Rio so... eh...

Rio and a pick (or Cole) for Monroe. Detroit gets something for the expiring Monroe who will likely not return to the Pistons. And Rio's new side piece, Paije Speights, grew up in Detroit, so everyone wins.

Stan Van Gundy (with Tim Hardaway in his ear) will help hook his old organization up.

Hahaha this amuses me and I said it in another topic

Khem Birch is Canadian, undrafted and from UNLV. Sounds familiar? ITS THE 2ND COMING OF JOEL!!! HIS SPIRIT LIVES ON!!!

Birch is way better than Joel though, rebounds and not that bad offensively. He's just needs work and he is only 22!! We need to develop this guy. He already does well in the Heat's defensive system.

Then again he is 6'9... I thought it was a 7 footer lmao damn it. Joel is 6'9 but seems shorter than that on the court lol.

edit : oh he is 6'10.. but 215lbs. Needs to pack some meat big time.

I looked up the heights again Birch is 6'10, Joel 6'9, but I don't know if he is left handed lmao

edit : I read he said he wanted to work on his left hand 3 years ago... so maybe he isn't. Lol

Came in here thinking this was the game thread, guess it's not!

Anyway, looking forward to some run for Ennis .. hopefully  Also would be nice to see DHam/Birch go up against Gasol .. so can see one of them starting.

Return to Miami Heat
