Why can't Miami ever make a 7'0/6'11 (other than Bosh) work?

I don't expect much from Whiteside tbh but he has been dominating the D league so far. 22 ppg 15 boards 5 blocks and 80% from the field (3 game sample size.)

I think they cut Hawkins.*Dawkins* my bad, watching football. But, Hamilton could make sense because his contract is non-guranteed till december right? Just seems like they like him, and big men are hard to find.

Whiteside actually just played against our D-league affiliate and had 24 points and 16 boards and a bunch of blocks apparently. He dominated the Skyforce and they probably liked what they saw in person. Note: Birch is averaging 13.5 points and 11 boards and 1.5 blocks, TJ is averaging 15.5 ppg and like 5 boards in the D league as well.

Yeah, Dawkins is gone. Blame Chalmers's improved performance. Dawkins was insurance all along.

WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA didnt think they'd get rid of Brown

Guess we keeping Dawkins

GOOD HE CAN SHOOT! iffy on defense though

I think the Heat opted to keep future players, instead of just hanging on to Brown who wouldn't be with us next year anyway. Dude is a journeyman. Can't jeopardize the future for that

I watched the whole game, and the game is on youtube and in the whiteside thread and dleague thread

he did not dominant anyone

its a D League game where no one plays defense, his numbers dont impress me

BUT what does impress me, is his size. He backed down Birch and the size is noticeable. Birch still was able to score on him too, but not in a backing down, just getting around him and out hustling/being more determined.

He can score inside though at all, get lobs. Good with his hands, and his again, has good size. Lets see how this plays out or if he even plays.

Browns contract indeed wasnt guaranteed. Heat cut him so fast lmao, yes!!

I wonder if Dawkins will start next game, he can shoot 3's... unlike Brown. We finally get more shooting.

He will be back next Sunday

Its a hamstring injury... I think the Heat did downplay how severe it was

He missed 9 games with the same injury and Wade said how it wasn't as bad as last time... yet he will miss a significant amount of games...

He'd probably miss 10 games if the Heat didn't have so much time off, including this week with 4 days rest after tomorrow.

If Hassan gets minutes before JHam... that would be interesting. Or Hassan takes JHam's bench spot til Birdman gets back

ooorrr neither and UD is our Center, lol smh
