I miss the time when we were discussing whether or not if we were one piece away from a contender lol

We beating Lopez, KG, Deron, Plumlee (who eats up every board against us) on their home turf tomorrow? With this same unit?

I admire your optimism

Trying to compensate for the pessimism. We beat Dallas. We are going to win the East.

I came down from Atlanta to visit some from friends this weekend. Watched the Canes game at Pines Ale house. Was disappointed they lost. Ehh whatever, I was sure the Heat would make up for it. Then I got tickets for the game today so I went and I was pretty disappointed with ANOTHER loss.

We're a pretty mediocre team.

The sooner we accept it the less painful the rest of the season will be.

It just pisses me off that in the beginning of the season we played some amazing team ball and Bosh was really beasting. They showed us that we have potential and then just fell off the cliff. This is the only reason I'm so negative all the time. If we sucked from the start, I'd understand and just accepted that for the next two years we're mediocre. But we can be better. We just, for some reason, aren't.

For the second straight game Bosh and Deng were poor with Wade out. At some point they'll have to step their games up. Let one of them have a good night and this is an easy win.

The problem is, when Wade has a poor shooting night, he can still create good shots for others. Bosh and Deng don't have that ability, so we'll need them to score.

Boy how the mighty have fallen.....was to be expected given the circumstances, but not in a million years would I have envisioned watching this team lose to the likes of Milwaukee even with Bosh and Deng struggling to score. We need D-Wade back in the worst way possible, and Bosh has gotta step it up. We aren't paying him max $ to go 2-17 from the floor.

Jesus I know we had some bad games but keep your prospective, let's not over react.

Wade is our best or second best player, we al knew we need him to do well.
Bosh is our best or second best player, Most players get into funks sometimes. The timing is bad but hell' get over it and return to first week Bosh.
Mcbob is our starting PF, also missing.
Hamilton is our best backup big (Yes, he's better the birdman at this point in time) - He's missing too.
Granger is crap, I hope he keeps being out actually.

A few bad games are not the end of the world considering these circumstances.

The positives are Napier and Ennis showing promise, Rio's contract isn't bad for a backup SG, and we're in the East.

We all knew we're missing some pieces to contend. nothing changed.

Bosh goes down, Heat get Okafor.

Okafor is no Robinson.

And we're not bad enough to get a top pick.

Exactly, you guys overreact too much.

This team as it stands is basically a "treadmill" team, unless people here are regretting signing Bosh and wished the Heat tanked the season to get Okafor then maybe the reference would make more sense. However as it stands, the Heat didn't give Bosh the absolute max and pay Deng + Mcbob, re-sign bonehead Chalmers to tank.

As said before Spo likes to be diplomatic calling Bosh the mvp of this team, Wade is the engine that makes this team run and the heat looks clueless without him. At the age of 32 he still demands consistent double team and creates EASY plays for teammates. Heat go from looking Spurs-like to Philly-style on offense without Wade.

Its funny looking back on this stuff from last night. I had a few stiff drinks and was having fun with the diatribe on here. I certainly don't think we're going to be bad enough for Okafor. I should have used green font.

This board went full throttle last night, I couldn't help but get caught up in it;)

We will be all right, but these past few games have illustrated how badly we need consistency from our biggest names. Bosh should be ashamed of himself. Time to prove himself again versus the Nyets.

Guys..its not everreacting its the plain truth. You cant win games when your second best player on the floor is wario chalmers. Wade needs to get healthy and lets face it , even if hes healthy we would need bosh to play like a 120M guys ON THE REGULAR BASIS. Deng to score EVERYGAME and so on.
This is not an "coasting" loss. We lost home against a scrubass team like the pacers ( inb4 but chicago did too , and i will tell your thats normal because they arent that good as people say ) we lost against a atlanta team thats been SUCKING and buttom line we lost against a chucker , undersized PG , a dumhead with glasses and a bunch of rookies. Theres nothing to overreact , just get back on the land. If we make something then you be surprised and happy but if we do suck till the end of the season you cant say that you werent expecting it.

Return to Miami Heat
