Napier is a guy that's also not going to see much time going forward. Should he be in the D-League then?

Cole killed both Napier and Ennis.

He knew their every move before they made it.

Anyone would think that he's been defending them every practice this season.

No Wonder Spo played him so much when he could dominate our "future" PG so easily day in day out.

There is some hope left for Shabazz. He finally played like a true point guard. On this game Napier was controlling the action without losing his aggressiveness. He showed high basketball IQ. The fact that he was landing his shots changed everything for him. During the offseason Napier needs to hire a shooting coach. That will be money well invested. Also, he needs to work on his body and add some muscles. Perhaps, Shabazz is not a loss cause after all. This Shabazz Napier, Tyler Johnson, Zoran Dragic, Goran Dragic and Dwyane Wade are on their way to become the best backcourt in the NBA.

Shabazz has taken huge strides recently. He's beginning to look more like an NBA version of what he was in college. He's already put on weight and I expect that to continue this offseason. He's shown more confidence and his shot is coming back. It is extraordinarily valuable that he gets to learn from a supreme finisher around the basket like Dragic because that element of his game was nowhere near NBA ready. A lot of good signs from him recently.

I came across this on youtube, and I forgot just how salty Simmons was about the Heat trading to get Bazz. He was acting like the Hornets had just given us Chris Paul or something. I didn't know it was a sin for teams to help us get a back-up point guard

I'm sure Bazz is using every little thing to fuel his work this summer. He was one of the more highly touted PGs in last year's draft; he has a lot to live up to. I fully expect him to come back a much better player next season, and it starts with summer league. Once he's back on his feet after the hernia surgery, the comeback campaign will begin.

I really expected him to shot the ball better. If he's going to a starting PG in this league he HAS TO be an elite outside shooter. He's capable, but struggled badly for reasons I can't fully explain.

You better be putting up 1000 shots a day all summer, Son.

I agree. At the NBA level, everyone is faster, bigger, stronger and more skilled than whatever he faced in college night in and night out. It is a BIG adjustment for ANY young player coming into the league, especially when you are considered undersized. I believe the court shrunk for Shabbaz which made it uncomfortable for him to play his game. How he adjusts will dictate his success in this league. He needs to be a good shooter and be able to run the offense while being aggressive. Jameer Nelson made career of doing just that.

I hope he does a lot better at the rim then he did last year (particularly the second half), I really see potential in this kid tho... hopefully the Dragon can teach him his ways and he can start to craft his handle (What I like the most about him aside from how willing he is to lead when needed)

God speed young Bazz

Considering how bad he was last summer, I think his rookie season was a success. He turned the ball over less and less as the season went on and ended up shooting the 3 from NBA range at around 36%. I really didn't think he was going to be able to shoot from NBA range after SL-2014. I think this summer he'll dominate SL and be more consistent next season.
