One of my favorite things about Goran was the open disgust he had towards Beasley during games. Every single game you'd see Goran give Beasley about 5-6 incredulous looks as Beasley shrugged off open teammates, turned the ball over or forced them to play 4 on 5 defensively.
It is hilarious to picture them together again.
Hopefully, Goran will handle this new challenge professionally.
I wouldn't worry too much. Beasley is among the worst players in the NBA. The honeymoon phase with couples who repeatedly break up gets shorter and shorter. The Beas probably won't be on your team within a month.
But, to make it clear my points are not based on hate but on facts...
Beasley, by advanced stats, was one of the worst players in the entire league in 2013, posting one of the leagues worst win share, and wins above replacement and one the worst TS% of any player to hoist as many shots as he did. And his defense... at one point during the year the stats showed the Suns as a top 5 D team when Beasley was resting, and the worst defensive team in the NBA by a huge margin when Beasley was on the court.
Last year for your Heat, a team that made the Finals, he was the ONLY rotation player to post a negative +,-. Seriously. A team that made the finals and had 3 superstars. Beasley is so astonishingly horrible at team basketball that was singled handedly able to make rotations that featured LeBron James and Wade get outscored on a regular basis. When Beasley was in the game the Heat were outscored by an average of 3 points per 100 possessions, when he was out of the game the Heat outscored their foes by 7 per. Beasley's presence was enough to turn that champion caliber lineup to rubbish when he stepped onto the court.
And the funniest line of all. Beasley put up huge stats in China this year... for a team that didn't make the playoffs.
He is probably the best example of an "empty stat" player in NBA history. He scores but he does at to the detriment of everyone else in the offense and he is among the worst defensive players of his generation.
it was always a losing battle debating with Beasley fans when he first came here, the 2nd time he came back and will be the same this 3rd time...............Beasley fans just like opportunities Miami keep giving Beasley is equivalent to zombies - just won't die.
