How about giving Wade a 3 year 50M contract?

Post#1 » by miula » Sat May 23, 2015 10:44 am

I think for both Wade and Team's best, Wade should opt out this off season and resign with the Heat with a contract like 3 year 50M

With 24M + 13M + 13M split in 3 year.

(We have Wade's bird right and he should be able to sign a max contract without cap-limit)

This contract can compensate the sacrifice Wade made before, and give us more Capspace flexibility in 2016 free agency.

Zach Randolf has a similar upfront loaded contract.

With Bosh at 22M, Dragic at 18M (assumed). Wade at 13M, JMR at 5M, we can have 89-58= 31M capspace in 2016 offseason, good enough to resign Whiteside and another good FA.

No Thanks, Wade should never make more than 12 million ever again.

You're assuming Deng leaves this offseason?

He's been discounting his whole career. I wouldn't be surprise if he gets above value in 2016 depending how things work out

Wade has taken less than he is worth for 5 years now, i dont think that it will change now. He will keep sacrificing, he is the franchise, mister miami, #heatlifer.

Wade and the Heat will work out whatever they deem to be appropriate. Have they ever let us down before in that regard? Just relax we don't need to worry about rewarding Wade, Micky and Riley will take care of him. Wade isn't Kobe he's not looking to cripple us with a massive contract such as the 2yr $48 mill. contract Kobe is on.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Wade is already capping in a lot of Mula from his sponsors and endorsements, I have no doubt he will take a pay-cut.

Plus I wouldn't be surprised if after he retires the Arisons hook him up with a small ownership stake or keep him around the organization in some well-paid role. I am sure Dirk's gonna do that too with Cuban.

That's a foregone conclusion at this point.

I don't see Wade demanding that much. He makes a TON of money off the court and he has always refrained from tying up the cap. He's selfless in that regard. If Lebron had stayed then maybe... but at this moment, I don't see it.

That's an illegal contract. Contracts can be freeloaded, but nowhere near that heavily. Randolph's contract is like that because it was an extension. This year was the last year of his old deal.

no

his contracts need to be getting smaller, not bigger.

My guess is he opts in for next year, then depending on what the team needs to get talent here signs another deal a little less.

Wade will be taken care of once his career is over
