Around the NBA 15.0

I agree it's something like this. He probably wanted Lakers & was happy to go to Knicks, so even if it was a losing team it would get him huge national exposure. Instead he'll be in Philly, playing like 5 nationally televised games all season.

I remember when the Heat had none - then they showed the Miami Heat in a substitute game after their scheduled one wasn't going to be that good. I wouldn't mind him coming to south beach if Philly decided to trade for a future pick.

Spurs didnt make Splitter available in trade talks on draft night

Now they wanna trade him

We should get in on a 3-4 team trade so we can dump Rio/Bird.

I'm shocked, mainly since Splitter was hot garbage in the playoffs last season. Can't really do much of anything. Makes me wonder if the Spurs might seriously look into signing Marc Gasol if Aldridge spurns them for the Lakers or Portland.

I politely disagree. Splitter is a good big and very adaptable.

1. Splitter's minutes in Game 6 vs. Los Angeles last season all but sealed San Antonio's doom. His +/- was -16. He shot 6-16 from the free throw line. San Antonio was 1-3 in games he played more than 18 minutes. They were visibly WORSE when he was on the floor. Pop didn't even play him the last six games of the season, and it wasn't due to "rest." He's 30 years old and sucks now.

I don't make a judgement about a player because of one game. 30 is 6 years younger than Bird. I respect you think he sucks. I think he's a good player.

Spurs are looking to trade Splitter in order to gain cap space (and lure LMA/Gasol).

So you offer them Rio and Bird which take up even more cap space then him?

Sounds legit.

I'm pretty sure it's been said a million times the Spurs can just let Danny Green walk and they have the cap space for Lamarcus...

Rather trade Splitter for peanuts than let Danny walk.

I would like us to target Dunleavy, but it's looking unlikely that we'll use the mMLE at this point. And, even then, that might not be enough.

Dunleavy aint leaving Bulls

Apparently he wants a bit more money tho

Cavs would have to get rid of JR possibly but even so, barely any cap room

JUST IN:
The Thunder have traded G Luke Ridnour to the Raptors for the draft rights to Tomislav Zubcic, creating a $2.85M trade exception for OKC.
Luke Ridnour has been passed around like a $2....nvm nvm nvm.
