Not bad. Didn't watch much of him last year. Anyone know how he is defensively?

Edit:

Of course he had a career high on us...

He's the definition of a floor general and PURE PG. His problem is defense, primarily. His shooting has improved some in recent years. I could only see him here if Chalmers is moved.

I for one still believe that Beasley will be on the final 15 man roster. The reason I believe this is because he is only 26 years old and while he can't be the face of a franchise ( which is why he is a bust as a 2nd pick) he has been a good NBA player. Any one who can have a season where they averaged over 19 pts a game and is still only 26 years old can help a team off the bench. Once again i will point out that Whiteside is also 26 and just figured out how to be a professional NBA player. So why can't a more talented player like Beasley finally also figure out the mental aspect of being a professional NBA player?

I figured defense would be an issue but yeah I'm mentioning Marshall assuming that we're moving chalmers beforehand, not in addition.

Not trash but not a championship caliber pg or backup pg. While he is a good passer he is way too ball dominate with limited offensive and defensive ability. The reason why we have had PG like Chalmers and Cole and even Dragic is that they are good at playing off the ball. Marshall just does fit that mold. We need someone who can defend, play off the ball but occasionally make plays when the offense breaks down. This isn't Marshall. So while i could care less who is better between Chalmers and Marshall what is clear is that Clalmers is better fit for what we like to do on offence.

3ballbomber wrote:^^We all know Beasley failed......YET AGAIN. He consequently signed w/ Griz, failed (again), waived......resorted to play in China because of lack of interest from NBA teams. But no, he is not continuing to be a bonehead, spite of constant failures. A player who isn't a bonehead would figure out the reason for his continued failures & try to improve himself. But Beasley, as we've seen recently w/ focusing, of all things, to be an all-star, just continues to be clueless & make BONEHEAD decisions.

honestly that entire post (from the last thread) is boneheaded. Beasley isn't an all star because he's not that good. period. it has nothing to do with "figuring out the reasons" and just "improve himself".

whatever it is you do, I think it is a fair guess to say you are not counted amongst the best in the world at it. would it be fair to say you are a boneheaded for not being amongst the best?

I don't think so. whatever fantasy teachers or parents filled your head that just working hard will get you to the top,is just that, a fantasy. the reality is some people are better than others. whether it be athletics. brains. some form of skill. environment and work ethic might make up for some of it but not all. in the end everyone has different max potentials. beasley reached his and made a few millions out of it. good on him. he's just not all star nba matarial when all he ever was, was a playground style player.

he's no more a bonehead than henry walker or tyler johnson are. they are limited players.

what IS boneheaded is to continue to look at beasley and think that there is more than there is, then getting upset over him not meeting your expectations. basically the way Lebron was playing in the finals this year, chucking without a care or consequences is all Beasley ever did in HS and college. what have you seen to think he can be an all star?

I know it is the accepted dogma that Beasley is a bust and my intention is not to change that because he is bust in the sense that as a number 2 pick he was expected to be the face of a franchise. He is not a bust in terms of talent and ability. We keep putting our disappointment on him because he wasn't a perennial all star but if you look at the numbers he put up his first 5 years in the league it is clear he has the talent. I just find it funny how we can heap praise on players like Whiteside who may just be figuring out how to play at 26 and Dragic who didn't have a good year in the league until he was 27 or 28 years old. While saying Beasley who is 26 years old some how does not belong in the league when he was playing better than both of the above two at a much younger age and please don't talk about defense because Dragic isn't a defensive stopper and whiteside still struggle to defend the pick and roll. We as fans and I think the some in the NBA need to let go of the disappointment we hold against Beasley as the number 2 pick and him not becoming what we thought he should be and realize that he still a very skill and talented basketball who is still young. By the way A is Beasley stats and B is Dragic

LMFAO, this ish is funny as hell....Beasley dangles you a carrot & you cats pounce on it like some starving malnourished children. Spite of that carrot most likely to be rotten inside, infested w/ maggots.

Beasley is like that hot slut and you cats a buncha horny, thirsty dudes......the slut shows some leg and you guys cream all over yourselves wanting a piece. You guys know that slut is only good 4 one thing and then she's useless & gets thrown away. The only diff between a slut and Beasley is that even Sluts have multiple suitors.....not a damn team in the NBA wants Beasley

and peep all the lame excuses come out once again.....he is only a bust because he couldn't be the face of a franchise OFMG!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I really like most of you guys for the most part and never really have problems w/ any of you but when it comes to Beasley he turns you all into 5 year olds who aren't allowed to have candy but make up all sorts of excuses to your parents why they should buy you that candy, even though that candy will rot your teeth and compromise your immune system.

Will always be a fan of Beas, dude's like that troubled drop-out first born child that you see in shows/movies who will always be loved and have a home to stay at his parents who just desperately want to see him succeed no matter how times he fails.
