So why are we Underachiving? are we Underachiving? **POLL**

Why are we looking like we do?

We're fine, we're just adjusting to a new team, still jelling.

We're not fine, and it's because we don't have enough talent. Nothing we can do this season really. We have a mediocre ceiling.

We're not fine, and it's because the players we have don't fit. we need trades to find better fitting pieces and create a different balance altogether (elaborate in comments)

We're not fine because of coaching, not playing close to our potential. We can do much better with this current team.

:o

Tyler isn't a PG and Udrih isn't good enough to lead the Bench unit.. why the shock? I understand shedding Chalmers salary may have been necessary, but trading both seemed silly.

call up Miami Heat, tell them they have made a terrible mistake & to re-sign Chalmers & Cole.

Because none of our players can make an open 3pt shot consistently (except bosh). thats why we are just a slightly above avg team instead of an elite team.

We need DeMarcus Cousins i know he can score and rebound consistently. Hassan is great shot blocker can rebound but is inconsistent scoring. We need consistent scoring that is what has killed us all the close games we have lost we cant score and maintain leads when we need to.

Half way through the season...are they under-achieving? Over-achieving? Or just right?

Still overachieving a bit. Mildly happy about the season so far.

Really?!?

On what world a team with Wade/Bosh/Dragic/Whiteside is a 500 or below team in this East?!?!
:banghead:

I swear is we had a roster like the Knicks some of you would say a 5-77 record is a great achievement for Spo.

In this world it's a slight above 500 team. Bosh can still play a bit but outside out that this is an average NBA roster with a guy or two out. At full strength they can tango some but over a full season still isn't a 50 win team on average.

This team should be around a 50+ win team. Now if we have a few injuries then we can take a couple games off, and maybe a couple to allow for time to gel. But that should really mean this is a 48-50 win team this year.

Yeah, we don't have the best shooting going on right now & McBob has barely played, but we should be doing better. Whether it's because our leaders aren't hungry enough, or because the system just doesn't fit the group I don't know. But we should be doing better.

But what is that should be better based on, under achieving players based on past two years of production? Nope. Bosh is much better, Wade is better, Whiteside is better (still some more to get out there if he could show up every possession) & Johnson has taken a quantum leap forward from where he started. Better. That gives us Dragic who got going before the injury but might have more to give. Wants to run, suboptimal fit. Underachieving a little bit.

Sum: slightly better production then expected

Coaching: overated factor. There's about three coaches in the league that makes a positive/negative win difference over time. Nope not this one either even tho fans I general always wants someone to blame for their own too high hopes.

Biggest negative factors: No 3rd big whatsoever with Bob out. None. Playing players that should not be in the league will hurt you. Big time. Not a surprise. Expected.

No shooting. Bosh and Johnson is doing what they can but there's to many broken jumps shots to cheat off of. Not a surprise and discussed in the offseason. Expected. This also prevents us from playing small ball while waiting for health.

Injuries. Not even been perticulary injured so far but this hollow roster can't plug the holes meanwhile. Expected.

All in all, not sure where you guys think the underachieving areas have been so far.
