Not sure how I feel about him trying to play again this season tbh. Sucks, hope he gets better.

I'm officially depressed now. What are the f***in' chances...I'm praying Bosh, this can't be "optimistic" news in the grand scheme of things; this really might make him re-think his career in basketball.

What matters most is Bosh's health. I really like this dude.

We with you, CB. #1

One thing I will say is, if there's too much of a risk for him to play, then I'd rather he doesn't. As much as I want CB out there to help our franchise win games, his long term health is the only priority here. Bosh is a good dude, one of the smartest in the league and the guy has a family to worry about. While I appreciate him doing all he can to play Basketball again, I wouldn't be pissed off if he just didn't want to take another risk.

With that being said, I think he'll be fine going forward.

of course not,the clots are not in the lungs but in the calf.its kinda different but its the same issue at the same time.i'm expecting him to miss the remainder of this season unless he was misdiagnosed or something which is highly unlikely at this point.also, just the fact that he went to see an specialist yesterday and we havent heard nothing officially speaks volumes of where this thing may be headed ....
Spoiler:
towards retirement at some point

I don't know why people are shouting down anybody that mentions Bosh's long term career prospects based on this news. The fact is, he probably is considering retiring. And in my opinion, he should. Clots are not a joke, people die and are permanently changed from them everyday. Just because they caught it this time before it made it to his lungs does not make it any less of a big deal.

This is really sad to me though, not only because Bosh seems like a great person who loves the game, but maybe even more so because it is very reminiscent to me of what happened with Zo. Obviously Zo was able to make it back, but its a similar potentially life threatening thing.

The whole situation has been rather odd. From no real comment about the injury to no timeline. You have to wonder if the meeting involves more than just shutting it down for the remainder of the season.

Man F*uck basketball if CB has seen his last days on the court.....I really think he has no choice but hang it up if there is any risk of health. Especially for him being the family guy with the twins coming up. I just hope the best for him. And surely our FO will take care of him.

he need to shut it down. the team will be alright. no sense to risk your health for a midround exit at best.

Even if we were a contender the the favorites to win it all I'd want him to shut it down for the season and potentially retire. He has a family, in the long-term that's far more important than anything basketball related. I respect CB for trying to return, but it's not worth it. Aside of that, he's had a great career and if he wants to be, he'll be around basketball either way, whether that's in a coaching, broadcasting or management function, as he strikes me as one of the more intelligent players in the league.

With that being said, it's still tough on CB and you have to feel sorry for the guy. As I said though, nothing trumps your health.

Man I don't like the vibes I'm getting.

CB was having a great year, he's just 31 and the thing is - his game will age beautifully. With the league going full smallball, he's top center for the next 5 years with his shooting, defense and IQ.

I'm really not sure what's the best move now.

Assuming his condition can be monitored and not be life threatening, Why not give another go next year.

It's true if he goes out again next year our entire team/plans/roster/cap takes a big hit, but isn't it worth another try if it's notlife threatening?

Blood clots are very serious. It's not the clot itself really, it's what the clot can do to blood flow in the vasculature. Where this could happen isn't something you can predict. If the clot blocks blood flow to a major organ, then the consequences can be severe.

I'm not sure what the guidelines are as far as a person playing on blood thinners, but the chances for hemorrhage increase drastically. It's not something I could imagine a high level athlete being able to manage. The risks are pretty high.

I'd go ahead and hang it up if i'm him. These clots wasn't supposed to come back, but they did. Life sends us signs, and i think this was a sign. Bosh is a HOF, he has nothing left to prove. Retire, spend time with his family and come work for the HEAT as a GM.

Relax everyone, we don't know what is causing him to have blood clots, we just know he has had 2 incidents. The doctors might not know the cause and it may take a series of test to narrow it down. Finding the cause is the most important, and the cause may have a solution.

Maybe he shuts it down for the rest of this season. Maybe he takes next year off to monitor his condition. He doesn't need to make a decision on retirement right away. He turns 32 in a few days. He can afford to take his time before making that call.

Although i'm waiting on official report and word from Bosh himself....If Bosh was to retire, it would be highly disappointing for him, but he has 2 Rings to show for his career. Not alot of players who have retired due to injury can say the same. So he is blessed in that regard. But he still has alot of seasons in him, still has alot of good basketball in him left.

Hoping for the best until official reports reveal his true situation.
