KD,
The point I was trying to make is that TJ hasn't warranted being paid 10 million by the HEAT considering our cap situation. He's overrated on this forum. Hassan has earned his right to be paid the max. The reason why I'm ok with maxing Hassan is because Chris Bosh is NEVER playing in a HEAT uniform again. His blood clot condition is one of the main reasons we should pay Hassan and move forward. Who will we build around if we lose Hassan? Wade? nah, he has 3 more years max. Winslow? Dude can't even make a open layup. Hassan while not perfect, is the right guy to develop moving forward in hopes we can take the next step. But it's all up to how Riley wants to move forward. Whatever happens, I wish Hassan the best and I will always root for him.
TJ is worth matching contracts unless a team poison pills him, like Houston did to NY for Jeremy Lin. He's a great role player and our 3rd best defender. He's not overrated.
Hassan has earned a max contract. No question there. But we'd be paying 46 million in ONE position and they can't play next to each other. You know just as much as I do about Bosh. Statistically speaking, he's still on this team and still counts against the books. There's no moving forward, no team is going to take Bosh. We're stuck with him unless he retires. There's athletes in more violent sports that play with blood thinners. Chill.
You're overzealous and starting to overrate Hassan. He's not a center you build around. That role is for superstars. Like Shaq or Dirk or Duncan or Orlando D12 or Hakeem, and plenty of other past greats. He's a piece to a championship team, not the first option.
TJ isn't better than J-Rich and he's worth 10 million? Please.
IF Bosh was going to play, it would've been in the playoffs. If the team doctors wouldn't clear him then, why would they now? Ask yourself that. The team probably would like for him to hang it up, so that we can get cap relief come feb.
I'm not overeating Hassan. His stats speak for him. He posted numbers the league hadn't seen in years, posted all star stats, etc played like a star. His game and stats back up my claims, so there's no need to over rate him KD. If the team(HEAT) doesn't see him as a star and Dallas does, then he walks. We will see how this plays out. I can't wait.
You're probably not a medical professional, so you might not understand. No Doctor on the Miami Heat or currently in or employed by the nba would put their license, 8+ years of school, residency, and great job on the line to go against what they've learned in their profession for decades in a last minute decision to allow a professional athletes to play a sport and possibly end up gravely injured. They would never be allowed to practice medicine again if anything goes wrong. They are liable for these things and have medical direction to follow to the T.
There's no need to try and defend Hassan with me. I've said it a million times; he's worth every penny at his maximum allowed price. But we have a $24 million player in the SAME position. Whether he's a paperweight or not, he is still under contract. That's not how you win titles fam.
You are over rating Hassan. You just said we should be building around him and that's not true. You build around the all time great bigs I mentioned. Not the guy that gets his ass handed to him by Jonas Valenciunas and the corpse of Al Jefferson. Not the guy that bounced around the world and had to scratch and claw at another chance to prove himself after multiple failures. No that guy is a piece of a pie of a championship team, not the focal point. I would pay him max if Bosh weren't on the team. But it's redundant at that position.
