Yeah, the preseason game won't mean much, but iirc Miami plays them twice in the first month or so of the regular season. A win against them would be so nice
I'll take us to the promise land Chalms, I promise.

I can understand Mion case. He is young etc... But Ellington over TJ and J Rich is phucking ridiculous, and I don't care how good his 3point shot and +/- stats are. He shouldn't be on the, and now he is starting. Phuck it

Come on Wayne **** Ellington over Jrich? GTFO. He only started cause Spo like's to keep rotations the same so instead of bumping up TJ or Dion (which will be our 2nd unit scoring punch) he just slides Ellington into Jrich's spot. If Ellington got that many good looks from three off, I can only imagine what Jrich is gonna do next to Goran.

I agree that J Rich takes over at SG once he is healthy. Most likely he is brought along slow to start

The starting lineup needs a floor spacer. Give Ellington a chance to prove himself before you pass judgement. He certainly looked damn good in that spot last night. Let's see if he can offer any type of consistency. Regardless I certainly think he is just a placeholder until Richardson is healthy.

Don't care about space, youth development at first

naw man, not if hes shooting 43%+ from 3. I have no problem with ellington starting right now if hes gonna shoot the hell out of the ball and not get murdered defensively. A disciplined whiteside to deter would be slashers and winslow making life hell for the best perimeter option goes a long way to covering up the mistakes of others on d if we are in fact suffering defensively by starting ellington at teh beginning of the season. that spacing is a major key right now until winslow and dragic - and jrich - can provide the spacing consistently. we cant go into development first mode until we've seen that this team can't for sure make the playoffs. We need to give these pieces a chance first.

Jrich is one of our most promising assets second to Whiteside. Yes he has passed Winslow. As good as we look imagine when we can get JRich growing along with the rest of the crew. As you can see even without our superstars we are still managing to score and defend. Mentally is going to be the challenge of staying focused and keeping composure and staying professional. Hopefully our vets can keep these young guys in check.

Lol naw man Winslow is a couple levels above him in the talent department. Best case scenario for Jrich is good NBA starter. Winslow can be a top 15 player. Not only that, Winslow is clearly a better player than him at this point. Jrich's value is defined by his success from 3 last year. I think its a mistake to believe that's what he's going to shoot like consistently. teams left him wide the hell open because they didnt know who he was and he made them pay. That wont be the case going forward and wasnt towards the end of last season.
So sure lets just say jrich is a better shooter. Winslow is a better defender, rebounding, slasher, passer, and is more consistent in those areas than jrich RIGHT NOW.
They're kinda equal in the ball handling department imo, but i trust winslow more with the ball in his hands in an nba game so far than jrich. jrich did look good as a facilitator in summer leauge, so im eager t see how that translates into legit nba action this season.

Hard to play fast if the ball handlers on the floor can't utilize their iq at that speed. That is really difficult to do.
We are playing fast.
