The players on the floor are going to compete, they have no concept of "tanking", they've been competing their whole lives they cant wire their brains to lose just to please the same 4 miserable realgm posters (you guys know who you are). Look at Hassan's tweet, does that look like somebody who has any idea what "tanking" is or wants any part of that?
The organization, meaning management and the coaching staff, can fully influence the roster and the playing time, hence it does lie in the hands of the organization.
It's also not about being miserable but rather being realistic.
We're rolling out new lineups every week, pivotal role players are missing time, and we got a guy fresh out the D-League playing crunch time minutes against the Warriors. What more do you want?
All of this happened out of necessity, because we were hit by injuries and forced to such actions. But just look at the minutes distribution against the Warriors. McGruder played the least minutes out of all the starters. Goran and Hassan each played 36 minutes. Off the bench, it was our veterans Ellington (27 minutes) and Johnson (33) that played significantly more minutes than Reed and White (11 each). We rotated like a team that wants to win.
I'm not complaining about the players playing hard and giving it their all. But I am complaining about us throwing major minutes to guys who play no significant role in our future, yet help us win more games now at a time when it's not a necessity.
