You rooting for a W?

Im game for the 11th PICK.....we deserve a chance at a game changer.

4 agonizing embarrassing games against the Bucks AND getting a **** pick?

A win here will be nothing less then catastrophic.

In your defense a lot of us had this mindset (myself included as you can see from that OP) initially until closer to game time when we couldn’t root for our team to lose, and the rest as they say is history :)

yea this is where im at after last nights game. is it really over friday or does one of the young pups finally step up and shows us a sign of something epic? Herro and Bam 2 man game with some early season Jamie shows back up? Jovic? might be time for part time jimmy to really lay back and be a max role player :D

So Jimmy load manages all season and ends up injured in the playoff game and out for several weeks. Healthy he would have helped against White or Derozan. Hopefully Herro doesn't have to guard one of them.

Probably start Wright, Herro, Martin, Jovic, and Bam and have Wright and Martin match up with White and Derozan?

Healthy and this game wouldn’t be needed, we’d be locked into our matchup with the Knicks right now.

That being said, we can no longer base our regular seasons around Jimmy’s lead of not trying and taking games off. There has to be a change in hierarchy and schematics and a new all star is needed to be added to this roster.

There's really not much of a difference between the 11th pick and the 15th pick. It's a late lottery selection and either way there are going to be intriguing players on the board to select. Definitely not worth 'tanking' for at this point. It doesn't matter if Jimmy is not available - the job is to win the next game, and the one after that, and so on, and this is the same mindset the Heat will have.

I don't care if we get smoked by Boston. I think it'll be very interesting to see Bam as the 'man' in a playoff series for the first time. He loves playing against Tatum so he's likely in for a big series. The experience will also be vital for the growth of Jovic, Jaime, and Herro.

Tldr; it'll be much more beneficial for our team to win tomorrow against the Bulls and make the playoffs, as opposed to losing and getting the 11th pick (instead of 15th).

All it takes is a hot shooting stretch and anything is possible. I'm not counting this team out just yet. You can bet the farm that Spo and Co. are expecting to play in Boston on Sunday. You can bet the farm that the plane tickets and hotel rooms are already booked for Beantown.

First, if Butler just makes the layup/dunk instead of waiting for the defender he probably doesn't get hurt on that play.
Second, if Miami sits Butler to get healthy and Miami gets past Chicago, if Miami sits Butler 2 weeks and they can steal 1 game, game 5 for Boston would be May 1st, 2 weeks after the injury with Miami needing to win the next 3 games to get past Boston which they did last year. I agree it's not much of a chance and it's a moot point if Butler's injury is more serious, but it's at least a chance and more importantly, you get to see Herro, Jovic, Jaquez Jr, Martin and possibly Rozier to have a better idea where they are at as playoff players.

As much as I disagree with a franchise betting on Herro to be one of their top 2 offensive options, especially from a consistency standpoint, it is possible he could get hot and have a great shooting game in one of the first 4 first round games (if they get past Chicago).

I guess y'all are going to get what you wanted and said this team needed. Bam as the first option.
Jimmy out now, so no one to "hold him back". Let's see what happens.

I'm old enough to remember when Jimmy had the reputation of being the hardest worker around.

That’s a fair point about the layup and the first thing that came to mind when he went for it, was completely avoidable should have just went hard to the basket.

This year's draft class is super doodoo. I don't even think the #1 pick would help much next season lol.

Give me Boston and a chance to at least hurt one of their guys.
