Ellerby is higher and Voracek is lower than most other places. Also odd to see Couture barely in the NA Top 20 after being all but guaranteed in the Top 10 by ISS. Interesting link

They have been way off all the other scouting services all year. They had Esposito #1 until this last list.

TSN.ca is a little biased I either use Hockeysfuture.com or ISS.

Both have better indepth coverage and actual scouts give their .2 cents in the matter.

Not a bad list though Angelo Esposito should be ranked 6th or so I expect him to be a breakout player of that draft and if he slips past 10 he would be a steal.

TSN does not put out these rankings. The NHL Central Scouting made these rankings but I agree with you that they seem to be biased.

European Skaters

1. Alexei Cherepanov, RW, Omsk (Russia)
2. Mikael Backlund, C, Vasteras (Sweden-2)
3. Lars Eller, C/W, Frolunda (Sweden Jr.)
4. Maxim Mayorov, RW, Leninogorsk (Russia-2)
5. Joakim Andersson, C, Frolunda (Sweden Jr.)
6. Simon Hjalmarsson, RW, Frolunda (Sweden Jr.)
7. Nichlas Torp, D, HV 71 (Sweden Jr.)
8. Sergei Korostin, RW, Dynamo 2 (Russia-3)
9. Maxim Goncharov, D, CSKA (Russia)
10. Evgeni Dadonov, RW, Chelyabinsk (Russia-2); [/b]

The European list is essentially Cherepanov and nine other guys

Backlund is a good skater and a great puckhandler I expect him to be a decient role player when he also isn't affrid to play a physical game and hit people if he has to. I expect him to be a top 10 pick for sure, he has the skillset to be a decient player but his knee injury might be enough to scare some people off.

Simon Hjalmarsson played really well in the under 18 tournament and a lot of people think that he is the sleeper of the draft.
