After telling reporters earlier this month he would be focused primarily on “depth” moves, Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli has changed course and is trying to add an impact player before Monday’s NHL trade deadline, league sources not directly tied to the negotiations told ESPNBoston.com.

And even though the Bruins have plenty of room to work with -- one estimate has them $13.2 million under the salary cap -- Chiarelli might be hesitant to pull the trigger on a deal for a short-term rental. He said Wednesday that prices were currently “through the roof.”

Interesting.

Jack Johnson was the price for Jeff Carter. I don't think I want to hear what we'd have to give up to get Nash.

Second tier guys is where they should be looking, as much as I've liked nash.

For **** sake. Tuukka should have had that first goal and the first powerplay goal.
And to top it off this team still can't find the back of the goal for ****, even when they had all of those chances with powerplays...

So I guess the last game doesn't mean they're turning it around because they're still sucking, o be quite blunt and honest about it.

This team isn't doing anything this season if they don't find their heart. Only goal they had tonight was off a lucky shot by Chara? That's horrible. Missed the game but going over the details, i've just been doing a lot of face palming with this team more than anything.

Wow totally forgot they were on tonight. They won but I saw that they were up 4-1 with like 6 minutes and let in two goals in the final 4 minutes so it was 4-3. Lucky it didn't go in to OT.

Stupid rumor out there saying the bruins are in on Ott. I would hate it.

Some names being thrown around before trade deadline: David Jones, Daniel Winnik and T.J. Galiardi.

And what?

Brian Rolston is coming home babay!

Not by any means is it a big deal, but I love to see him back in black and gold. One of my favorites as a kid.

The other two guys I don't know much about, but small moves on a uneventful day. Would have liked to see them get Oduya but oh well.

Bruins acquire Brian Roston and Mike Mottau for Cantin and Rieneau

lol. The Bruins have every opportunity to tie these games with powerplay goals and nothing comes out of it. They're lucky if they get 1-2 shots on net.

Also this is the 5th game IN FEBRUARY ALONE where they've had no goals which is completely unacceptable regardless of Horton being out.

Yea I'm not gonna bother with the rest because it seems like the outcome will result in them losing yet again. Do they not give a **** or what? They played great the first quarter so what the hell happened...

And to confirm what I've just said they scored again. Great.

No words can describe my disappointment with this team right now

Image

Will suffice for now.

To top it off Tuukka's hurt now, as well as the one in Providence.
This season has pretty much gone to hell if you ask me, considering how it's bee since All Star break. Powerplays not working, losing against bad teams, getting shut out 5 time in Febrauary alone, injuries now, struggling mightily to score in 85% of the games even against the bad teams.
Can someone at least provide a positive because I'm not seeing one, even if they do win this one.
