Draft

Nichushkin if we go with a C for scoring, and Nurse if we go for Defense. Will be happy with either. Got to feel we will get a Defenseman somehow since we were so miserable on it last season. So if we go with Michushkin in teh draft, look for a trade or FA signing on Defense ASAP.

2014 Draft selection is Haydn Fleury.. Still 17, big kid at almost 6'3'' and 205 lbs. Nice pick.

Reminds me a lot of Jay Bouwmeester. Fleury is somewhat of a "safe pick" since he should become at least a solid top-4, but he still has a good bit of upside. Not many 6'3" 17/18 year olds can skate like him. I'm interested to see how his offensive game continues to develop in Red Deer next year.
