Does anyone have a reasonable explanation as to why the xx has critical acclaim? I am searching and searching outside of my favorite genre (indie) being filled with too many hipsters that want to make this "cool."

Maybe I haven't listened enough?

Thanks for this post. It's my first time hearing the song and i think it's fabulous.

RZA and the Black Keys also worked together on one of my favorite rap/rock mixes ever, the great Blakroc album/cd. Here is a behind the scenes clip of them working together on that project.

I'm not a fan, either. Atlas Genius' cover of Islands is pretty awesome, though.

Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d city" leak is out. Its great, probably rap album of the year after first listen.

This 100% I didn't hear it till this week and it's amazing. Absolutely has a chance to be rap album of the year.

Ben Howard is great. First song of his I heard was Only Love, and I swore it must have been a new James Morrison song. Alas, it's much better, they just sound a lot alike.
