The Bucks D is built to filter players inside the 3 point line. It's built to prevent 3's and shots at the rim (which is obviously a problem with Gooden at C). So I agree that blaming our guards for trailing on top of the key screens doesn't make much sense. That said, giving up wide open 3's is inexcusable, and that happened a ton with Monta tonight.

His O was incredible and nobody is saying it wasn't, but he can't let Parker go off like that either.

LRMAM
Ersan
Udoh

was what got the Bucks their silly lead in the first 20 minutes of the game. I know the Bucks were playing against D-Leaguers but that was a really fun frontline to watch.

Do you stick with that if you're coaching?

If Udoh can hit that mid range jumper with any regularity there is no reason to ever play Gooden again as a starter.

I think we'd see similar effects if they'd start Delfino/Ilyasova/Udoh. That's the lineup I've wanted since the trade. It's unreal that Gooden is still the starter though.

Agreed. They played well in the first half. I'd like to see this team for an extended stretch without Gooden.
When Krause said he didn’t feel that the season could be called a good one since we fell short of the playoffs, Paschke rightly reminded him that there are 14 upstanding teams that didn’t make the playoffs. Made me proud that we could be among them.

Yeah, his direct opponent having 27/7/4 on 80% shooting wasn't important anyway, had nothing to do with why a team featuring 5 D-League level guys and a couple of way over the hill veterans took us right down to the wire.

It's such a horrible thing that whenever I get optimistic about the Bucks, I remember that we have Drew Gooden.

hatas gonna hate : )

Parker got hot tonight but it wasn't by beating Ellis one on one, it was ball swings, to the corner sometime off of broken plays inside.

Skiles should be slapped with a little white glove if he starts Gooden over Udoh again. The team looks so nice with Udoh starting. He's already better than one arm, flat hook Bogut (not healthy Bogut obviously). His rebounding and offense are coming around. He finds open people like Bogut could and finds those open spots for dunks. Bogut has a better nose for the offensive rebounds and putbacks that Udoh needs to get better at; he hesitates, gathers, and pumps too much like Ersan used to underneath.

Ellis is very good. 30pnts, nice hustle plays, and 8 assists? Ridiculous. If Bogut could ever score 16 straight to end a game I'd say that maybe we lost this trade. We got younger, healthier, more talented, more hustle, more upside, better attitudes, and the best player in the trade.

Definitely does all the little things. Think that is what I like about him the most.

Pretty sure the most moronic thing I have read on this forum is that a few posters were saying they would rather have Gooden then Udoh. Like wtf?
