I agree with this and everything you said. But again, I don't see why that's being used against Harris' potential. That's an entirely separate discussion. Again, I haven't seen a single post proclaiming Harris as a sure-fire future All-Star (if there was one I've missed it). All that's been said is that he showed good offensive ability as a 19-year-old rookie (which is true), demonstrated the ability to be an efficient scorer as a rookie (also true), when given reasonable minutes produced at an effective level offensively (again, true) and he needs a lot of work defensively (true as well).

If people think he won't become anything more than a reserve or decent bench player etc. that's fine. But saying that's the belief because the Bucks stink and have stunk for so many years strikes me as a rather curious way to defend that position. I'd be much more interested in hearing what specifically you saw from Harris on the court this season that leads you to a particular point of view.

I don't like his hands. There were a number of times where he couldn't secure the ball on rebounds and points where he'd go up for a shot and get blocked as the defender was able to jostle the ball from him. I'm not sure you can change that. Also seems to be more of a tweener than a true SF.

All that said, I see his ceiling as Rodney Rodgers, which means a good value where he was picked but at the same time probably equal to a guy you might get with a full MLE. The best thing he's got going for him is the fact he's only 19. Lots of change could come in the next 12-18 months.
When Krause said he didn’t feel that the season could be called a good one since we fell short of the playoffs, Paschke rightly reminded him that there are 14 upstanding teams that didn’t make the playoffs. Made me proud that we could be among them.

I don't see the tweener aspect at all. In what respect?

I definitely don't see any Rodney Rogers.

I don't see a position where he is really fit to defend, personally. I think most 3's are going to be too quick for him and most 4's are going to be too big.

He may never be able to guard small forwards?

We'll see how he winds up but I'll still put my opinion of Thaddeus Young out there.

His defensive problems were more of a lack of awareness and proper fundamentals to me. I don't see the athletic limitations.

He's 19.

Nobody knows what he's going to end up as. It's just promising that at 19, he doesn't look out of place.

Remember Bogut was never supposed to be a good defender either.

He doesn't look very quick on his feet out there, something he'll have to have guarding small forwards. I'd put that in athletic limitations.

I see that more as an issue with fundamentals. He routinely showed excellent footwork and quick feet when posting up on the other end, so it isn't like he lacks the athletic ability. He also showed very good strength and explosion offensively. He just doesn't know how to play defense on our off the ball at this point, IMO.

He's built a lot like Melo, IMO, who could be a good defender if he wasn't so lazy.

I have no clue what kind of player he is gonna end up being. But from the limited minutes he played, age, skillset, being a possible tweener etc... he reminds of Rashard Lewis.

We are getting close to the 4:30pm mark.

Usually organizations and govt. drop the embarrassing news between 4:30pm and 6pm on Fridays so it gets little media coverage as everyone has headed home for the weekend or Friday night out.

I'm guessing Steinmiller is waiting for that window to announce the parting of ways with Skiles.

If they're going to do something, this would be a good weekend considering the Packers draft will dominate the sports page.

And when Ersan was 19 a ton of people thought he only had a future in the NBA as a 3. That looks ridiculous now. Many didn't think he had any future in the NBA period.
