Perry Jones the big loser from the combine according to Draft Express.
We get Leonard with Rivers and Ross still available.

Pretty much what I expect to actually happen barring trades, but I'd take Waiters, TJones, Rivers, PJIII, Ross, or Harkless over Leonard.

In the second I think we'll take Crowder if he's still on the board, and DJO if he isn't.

If Leonard is available Hammond tries to correct another one of his mistakes by trading Bogut. I'm OK with Leonard if that is how it works out. May not get a chance for another 7 footer.

I'd rather take PJ3 if we're going for an athletic big with potential. Doubt jones is actually there at 17 though.

I would be fine with this IF we did the Ellis for Matthews and 11th and take PJ3 as well. We would have a sick young front court with Harris PJ3 and Leonard

I would rather have Leonard and Ross than PJ3 if we had 2 picks

I'd be very dissapointed if we took Leonard. I've seen him play about 5 times and have never been impressed. If we take a seven footer at 12 I really hope its Zeller.

I think there is a bigger chance that we may never have another opportunity to draft a player with Perry Jones potential, then drafting a 7'. I just don't think Leonard has the potential to be anything more then an average player offensively, and Meloand/or Ezeli will probably be better defensively. If we need a Center that badly then trade Ellis to the Magic for the 19th pick and take one of them, but don't miss on the chance that Perry Jones is a 20/10 all star player because you didn't get value for Bogut. Maybe PJIII turns out to be the next CV but this franchise needs a star player badly and Ellis/Jennings/Harris aren't it, Leonard certainly won't be.

Jennings
Matthews
Harris
Jones III
Leonard

Sanders, Udoh, Leuer, Crowder off the bench. Young and exciting. Add another high #1 next year and things are looking up. Can't wait to see us trade back and sign Kaman and Landry.

Not sure PJ3 will be a star or not but Hammond has a habit of trying to correct a mistake quickly no matter the cost. Leonard and Ross can balance this team out if we trade ellis for matthews & 12

Terrible. The only way I'd be able to swallow Leonard as a pick is if Hammond acquires a second lottery pick, though I'd still rather see 5-8 other guys taken before Leonard. I'd much rather acquire a pick in the 20s and take Fab Melo than take Leonard in the lottery.

Has anyone else said PJIII was a big loser from the combine? Everything else I've seen has been positive.
Kohl/Steinmiller/Walter/Burr/Hammond summed up in one phrase: "I've made a huge mistake."

Not that I've seen - that's why it was suprising. Still, they must have some reason to move him back five spots.

I'd be fine with this pick. My only issue is we are so zeroed in on getting a center that we will end up passing on a better player.

Is there any specifics on Perry Jones III and his combine? Did he just do poorly in the workouts/practices? Strange beause I read that JS article the other day about how he thought the workouts would only be beneficial and how it could separate him from being the 12th pick to the 8th pick. Anyway, I doubt he falls to #17 regardless. Might sound crazy also but I have a feeling he might be drafted before #12.

Not sure what to think of Leonard, don't know much about him, unfortunately. I presume people don't think he is the BPA, right?

Agreed. This makes the Bogut trade even more frustrating.
