If Mike Miller is going to retire I would hope that Hammond calls about trading them Gooden.

That would be a dream.

I just don't see any team giving us an expiring for three years of overpaid Gooden.

I think the only way you can get that is if you include an "asset" of some kind like Udoh, Sanders or a future first. Not sure even that would be enough incentive though. I agree with emunney, it's hard to see a GM with any smarts taking on Gooden's contract.

Why would any smart GM give Jamal Crawford the full MLE instead of signing Nick Young to a one year deal?

Why would any smart GM not protect a first round pick they send out for Mo Williams?

Fact is not every GM is smart.

Call the Clippers. I think it's our best shot. They need another big.

I agree there are a lot of dumb GMs in the league. Unfortunately, I'm not sure the stubborn head coach in Milwaukee or the clueless owner want to get rid of Drew Gooden. Sure hope I end up being wrong about that.

Are you sure Hammond wants to get rid Gooden since Gooden played for Hammond when he was the Clippers coach. I have a feeling Hammond still thinks Gooden is a quality player.

But on the other hand....Hammond drafts a 4. Maybe he's trying to get rid of Gooden. Maybe Gooden lands on Skiles bad side within the first couple games after the ball only is passed 3 times in 20 positions.

Who knows.....Jordan likes taking crap. Give it a try to package him in the deal with a couple second round picks with the Howard deal. We end up with Marshon.

I agree.

People who are being paid to be basketball minds both love this guy.

Hammond signed him to a full MLE and Skiles featured the damn guy in our offense last year and gave him ooodles of minutes when Sanders a supposed defender rots on the bench.

None of that is on Kohl.

Send him to Toronto for Kleiza. Shave a year off salary wise.

Ship him to Charlotte for Diop, but I doubt MJ is dumb enough to add get rid of an expiring for Gooden.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

The Bobcats are looking for PF help. If they don't sign Humphries, could Gooden be of interest. Problem is that they don't have anything the Bucks would want in return. Bucks don't want Diop or T. Thomas, but Diop only has one year left. So it could be:

Gooden for Diop

Bucks would get a back up center.

Ellis & Gooden to Houston for Martin & Patterson

Ellis gives Rockets another draw for Howard - costs them taking Gooden

I would trade Gooden for that plate of wings. Straight up. Maybe try to squeeze some extra ranch out of them, but I wouldn't push it.
