How about Ben Mclemore? Has anyone seen him play yet? He is a freshman playing 30 minutes a night for Kansas and is a former oak hill guy so you know Jennings will like him.

He seems to be putting up fairly decent percentages.

Draft express says
"6-4 or 6-5, with very long arms, a strong frame and excellent athletic ability, it's not hard to tell what the recruiting services see in McLemore from a physical standpoint alone."

From DraftExpress.com http://www.draftexpress.com#ixzz2Ex55wBNJ
http://www.draftexpress.com

He has hops and a pretty good looking 3 point stroke. This vid is a little grainy and is from highschool however it shows a decent amount of real game situations and its not an all dunk vid:

Yeah, DX did as well. He's been really good so far so it shouldn't be that surprising. He's seamlessly transitioned into being a pass first point. Pretty remarkable. Everybody loves the giant points, myself included.

I'm not a big fan of the giant points unless they still think pass-first, set the offense and can defend the opponent.

I think he'll be a 2 in the NBA and the ball control is only a benefit. We'll see how it washes out. I guess I'm a bit disappointed he's out of Bucks range so quickly.

Yahoo article on him:

Lots of good stuff there. He's a really interesting player, very good vision and timing, quick hands. I'm also disappointed he's risen past where we'll pick, but he hasn't risen to the point where he's inaccessible if we're motivated.

I wouldn't worry about where they are now. January last year Jeremy lamb was top 6 as was Sully, PJ3 was top 12 and Deron Lamb was top 20. Lots can happen in 5-6 months.

Obviously my main guy is Goodwin, but I wonder what kind of assets it would take for the Bucks to move from ~15 to 5-8.

I'm happy to see MCW really grasp his opportunity.

I agree on Goodwin. He's gonna be a good one

Anyone watched Mohammed? He has only 4 assists in 6 games played so far. His assists by game have been 2, 0, 1, 1, 0, 0.

I'm also a fan of Goodwin.

WAY too early to try and figure out where some of these guys will go- you know Noel, Zeller, and Muhammed will be in the top 5, but after that too many things can happen. NOT at all inpressed with this Draft class- I don't see any "Franchise" types so I wouldn't cry about the Bucks not tanking it. If they did they would probably only end up with the 6th or 7th pick and that player may be no better then someone picked 15th- either way neither position is likely to give you a real impact player.

Lot of people are saying we're just going to have to ignore numbers with him because of Howland's system.

what type of package could Hammond put together with the 16-20 pick to move up for Goodwin?

A McDonald All-American out of high school and current freshman forward for the UNLV Rebels, Bennett has already taken Las Vegas by storm and is starting to take over the nation. One NBA Draft Expert said Bennett is a “man playing against boys.” Mentions of NBA Lottery Pick and POY award are now commonplace.

Image

Bennett’s talent and overall game have caught the eyes of many NBA scouts. Fans, analysts, and experts are all hopping aboard the Bennett Bandwagon. And rightfully so. Taking a deeper look at Bennett’s numbers shows just how impressive the 6-8 Canadian has been.

Through 12/20, Bennett is averaging 19.4 points per game. Bennett leads all freshmen in scoring and has the fourth-highest total overall by a forward/center. Bennett is second in the Mountain West for scoring, but leads all big men in the conference.

However, more impressively, Bennett has done this while averaging only 27.5 minutes per game. This is tied for the LOWEST TOTAL for anyone in the TOP 70. Bennett is averaging 0.704 points per minute. If he were to play a whole game, Bennett would average 28.2 points per game. With Mike Moser out, and Bennett starting to play more minutes, look for his average to converge closer to this average than his current average.

Of the top 30 scorers, Bennett has the second-highest field goal percentage (54.7%). He has scored double-figures in all 11 of UNLV’s games and has seven or more rebounds in 8 of them, with 4 double-doubles. Bennett is second in the MWC with 1.7 blocks per game and is shooting 75% from the line.

Since Moser went down with an injury, Bennett is averaging a double-double (20.5 /10.5), helping elevate a team—and city—that lost a leader and top player.

Bennett’s numbers are great, making a difference in all aspects of the game. However, perhaps even more importantly, Bennett has excelled as the face of the UNLV program, leading them to 11-1 and a #21/18 ranking.

I would like to keep pimping Ben McLemore. I love his efficiency.
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketb ... n-mclemore

So right now on my being realistic mock draft board its Goodwin, McLemore, then McCollum if we are going for a SG in the draft.

Oh wow, nbadraft.net moved McLemore up to #3. Wow, he was in the teens last I checked.
http://www.nbadraft.net/2013mock_draft

So maybe he is not realistic then. Actually we might not have a chance at any of the 3 possibly. :(

McLemore and Goodwin are pipedreams, they are going to go top 5. There's a big shortage of quality SGs in the NBA and those 2 have enormous potential, among the highest in the draft.

I agree. Overall this is shaping up to be a very good 'guards' draft. Bucks could potentially solve their issues here, if they wanted to be proactive.

If a lot of the freshman this season come out early I don't see how this is considered as weak a draft as people say.

I'll admit to never watching him play but what about Andre Roberson? He looks to be an insane rebounder at SF, is he cut from the same cloth as a guy like Faried? Also, how does CJ Wilcox look? I've only seen him once and he looked like a legit NBA 2.

Don't think Roberson has the ball skills to play the 3 a lot in the NBA, hes an undersized 4.

Wilcox is a good shooter but I don't see much else honestly that makes me think he'll be anything more than a role player.

Yeah Wilcox reminded me a lot of a Morrow type player and I think we can do a lot worse then that at 15-20.
