Bob Ross painted a bunch of happy little clouds on those uniforms.

Dave Strader is calling the Marquette game tomorrow. I'm excited about that because he's fantastic.

Tip off Marathon on ESPN now. Gonzaga crushing West Virginia. There are some good games in the next 24 hours capped off by Michigan State vs Kansas and Kentucky vs Duke. I would love to be a student at Rider for the 6am tip or Valpo for 8am. One time while I was at Marquette we had a 10 am tip on a Saturday and that was so much fun. I cant even imagine 6am on a Tuesday. How many of those in the student section do you think are going to have been drinking all night? To be young again.

Tim Hardaway Jr and Glenn Robinson III both start for Michigan. It's a shame they didn't recruit Juwan Howard Jr, who is from Detroit and plays for Detroit.

That would have been incredible. Then if Ralph Sampson III would have red-shirted he could have manned the middle for them.

Just looked and saw that Jon Horford is Tito's son, Al's brother. That's crazy to have 3 guys whose father's played in the NBA on the same NCAA team.

How did the Atlantic 10 allow Butler and Xavier to play a nonconference game today?

Great game with KU and Duke now.
MU's offense is so bad without Mayo, DJO, and Jae

I'm going to hold you to a higher standard than Cousins holds himself to.

It's amazing how little Vander Blue has improved since arriving at Marquette. Bo would have developed his game a lot better. Oh well.

I've been mildly disappointed in Blue thus far. I'm hoping he makes a leap this year but I don't know. I know Wes Matthews didn't really come into his own until his last year, so maybe he's following a similar path. I don't necessarly know if Buzz is holding him back as other guards have done well at MU, but something hasn't clicked or maybe the player just doesn't have it. I guess he still has time.

I haven't seen Dekker play yet so I'm really looking forward to the Wisconsin @ Florida game tonight. One of my co-workers has been talking him up saying he's looked amazing so far. Also curious to see how Marshall fills in for JT.

His by far biggest problem is he's a SG that can't shoot at all and that impacts every other aspect of his offensive game. Defensively he's really good.
He just has terrible looking mechanics on his jump shot and the result has been defenders simply sag way off him, daring Vander all of the time to shoot the jumper. This hurts him because he's pretty explosive off the dribble with his athletic ability, but it's hard to beat a defender off the dribble who is sagging off by five feet or more.
I can see this messes with his head on the court sometimes and leads to turnovers. Vander for the most part has behaved in an unselfish manner as a teammate, but there are times he'll catch a pass with his defender sagging way off him and i can almost see the wheels in his brain spinning, especially if he's already missed a jumper or two. He'll catch the pass and get caught in that should i take this shot they are leaving me wide open with? Should i try attacking the rim instead, even though my defender is basically sagging all the way by the edge of the paint waiting for me to drive?
I think his terrible shooting has killed his overall game offensively, hurt his confidence on that end, and at times leaves him thinking what to do instead of just reacting naturally. Granted, maybe Bo could have helped Vander fix his broken jumper, but if not, i'm not sure what else could be done to repair a SG that's a total bricklayer from the perimeter.
