Sounds like Butler is open to another conference switch, this time to the NEW Big East. If that happens I see the cream of the Atlantic-10 also making the move to the NEW Big East. This is starting to look like an ideal situation for Marquette and the rest of the Catholic 7.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Butler basketball could be changing conferences again.

Two days after school president James Danko told The Associated Press he would not rule out the possibility of joining a new conference with the seven Catholic schools that are leaving the Big East, he issued a statement calling the rumors a "tribute" to the Bulldogs' success and saying only that that the school would "do what is right."

The language is likely to create even more buzz about whether the Bulldogs will make a second conference move. In May, Danko announced the Bulldogs were leaving their longtime home, the Horizon League, for the Atlantic 10. The move was supposed to happen next year but was expedited this summer.

Butler will not play its first Atlantic 10 game until January.

Read something earlier on a MU board that basically had the same thought about Xavier.

I have to imagine that before this split was announced that the 7 schools did some kind of due diligence to gauge interest by other schools in joining them

This is pretty amazing. 4 foot 5 inch 5th grader is starting for a Flordida high school's varsity basketball team. Check out the video, it's pretty incredible. The kid's ball handling and quickness is absolutely crazy for his size and age.

His dad is the coach and only decided to consider him for varsity after he scored 91 points in 3 quarters against middle school kids. :o

Yeah, I was there. A pretty ugly game for MU and in general for that matter. Wilson was the only who could do anything. GB is improving under Wardle though.

Also was there and it was definitely an ugly game. MU has no perimeter game and UWGB control the tempo of the game. GB is improving but still a bad loss for MU b/c GB has been struggling & one of their top players (Cougill) was recently suspended. Alec Brown wasn't that impressive either, I don't see him as a NBA prospect other than his 7' size. Sykes is a pretty good PG though, he's quick and can score. I assume his size hurt him out of high school.

I remember on some of the mocks they had Alec Brown going in the lottery? Now you don't even see him in the 2nd round in many of the mocks, every time I've watched him play he's been absolutely horrible.

NBADraft.net has Brown as 35th pick and DraftExpress has him at 45th in the 2014 Mock Drafts.

Brown is soft and doesnt have a very good work ethic to make him a better player than his obvious natural abilities.

Totally agree. He's not sniffing the draft at this point. Seriously lacks strength and like you said soft. GB has him on the perimeter a lot for some reason.

Jeff Goodman ‏@GoodmanCBS
Buzz Williams told CBSSports that Todd Mayo is eligible. Marquette needs him. Badly.

Baylor up to 8-3 after beating BYU last night. They should creep back into the top 25 eventually.

Kentucky @ 3pm CST today.

That seemed like an obvious offensive foul to me (in the Texas/MSU game).

10 Illinois vs 12 Missouri off to a good start. Looks to be a good game.

Kentcky's facilities are absolutely ridiculous. Gold standard is an understatement.
