I hate shopping. Do all of it online. Something not fitting right is a risk I'm willing to take. Hate malls. Hate traffic. Hate lines. Hate waiting.

I dont really have anything in mind. I'll probably head over to Walmart Thursday night or mid day Friday and pick up NBA 2K13 for $25.

Ill probably look for some online deals though.

Worst thing I ever saw on Black Friday occurred at Target. My senior year in high school 1995, I pulled electronics duty and one of the Black Friday items was some absolutely garbage GPX mini cd player radio, I would hesitate to call it a shelf system but in that same vein. It was like $19 or something like that in the ad.
We only had a few, apparently the last one was up about 15 feet or so along the back wall, a nice little old lady asked me to come get it for her. I grabbed the rolling stairs and went to get it. As I approached I could see one 40ish guy climbing the rack in that area, as I climbed the stairs he's eyeballing me, I grabbed the cd player and he tries to rip it out of my hands, and of course I told him the lady did things the right way she asked for it first so she gets it. He and a bunch of the people with him start going nuts trying to grab it from the old lady. I stepped in between them and he literally swung at me. I called for security on the radio and two other customers trying to be good Samaritans come to help me which escalated it further and an all out brawl ensues. The only positive was after a morning of wanting to hit most of the people I was dealing with I actually could. But all of that Over a $19 crappy brand CD player. The guy was arrested, I didn't particularly care for managements attitude toward what had happened especially after watching the video, so I quit about 5 minutes after the police left. Never will I ever think about shopping on Black Friday though I think it was much worse back then.

I do 90% of my shopping online too. Every year there are more and more deals.

I got a decent TV from target the day after thanksgiving a couple years back, it was busy but really not the hell stories you hear about. I find shopping online is way easier and usually saves you much more money though.

Yeah makes sense

Really need a new laptop this year for school as both of my old ones crapped out making me check one out from UW's IT department for a month for $80. Also helps that it's around my birthday. Going to try to find something with i5+, SSD 128GB+, and 6GB+ of RAM. If anyone sees something like that... :)

Online shopping is the way to go, and many sites have made it a real-time experience that's kind of fun. Amazon is pretty cool with countdowns to items going on sale, and there are some good deals to be found. Plus, no pants while shopping.

Yep. I do 99.9% of my clothes shopping online and basically from just a couple of places. Over a period of time I know exactly how something will fit. Even you aren't sure, you can always send it back for store credit and get the size you need, all in the span of a few days usually.

I feel like women love to shop in person, while guys prefer to do it online. At least that's how it is with my friends.

For the last few months I have been contemplating getting an Amazon prime account so I can legitimately do all of my shopping (other than food I guess) online. Haven't done it yet, but I will eventually.

As someone with family who've had [read: taking off was not an option] to work retail on Black Friday in the wee hours, I cannot get behind the hoopla. It manages the feat of fouling up both Thanksgiving and the next 48 hours after. Can't really lay the blame solely at the feet of retailers. Without shoppers camping out overnight, we wouldn't see these pre-midnight stampedes.

But hey, TVs, I guess. Just don't kill anyone this year if you go out early.

Second this.

I think I've actually made money off of them over the years.

i must be weird, i don't mind the crowds, i'm just the type of person that likes to very carefully and slowly think over any medium or larger purchase.

that said, i slipped into and out of walmart with fifa 12 for $25 last year in about 20 minutes. then nearly died in the parking lot.

I really wanted a phone and didn't feel like waiting, so I bought a Razr Maxx HD a few weeks ago. But I wish I had waited because I bet Amazon wireless will have it $100 cheaper on Black Friday with discounts on the data plan to boot. They had some good specials last year on the latest phone.

Despite my regrets about purchasing it too early, this phone has a lot of really good qualities and I highly recommend you check prices on amazon wireless next week if you're in the market for a phone.
