Monta looked great early passing but fell to the long twos later in the game. Fortunatly at the end they fell.

Brandon IMO was the clear POG. We clearly played our best ball by far when he was in and the +/- proved it.

Dunleavy was the reason we won the game with his play in the first half. We could've been down huge at half without him getting hot.

Larry played great defense at the end, lot of tacky fouls early.

Everyone else looked pretty solid besides Beno who looked awful.

Anthony Davis was worth tanking for last season.

That's what Charlotte said.

So ... are we done making fun of Larry Sanders around here and is it a safe bet, that he's going to turn out to be a good player for us???

It sucks not having League Pass this year - starting grad school in January, not gonna have time to watch all season. At least 620 AM comes in crystal clear down here. Go Bucks!

Was going to mention that but I didn't wanna ruin Monta's good game.

I guess we are seeing how Monta / BJ can play off each other with some success.

Monta is really trying hard on defense lately too, lets hope he can keep that up. He played Rivers / Mason pretty well, Mason hit some shots but they weren't Monta's fault.

We will find out how this will work against some above .500 teams coming up, but so far so good obviously.

For all the talk and worry about BJ and Ellis not co-existing well ... one thing that gets lost in the big picture, is that Ellis shoots right and BJ shoots left - I think that's an advantage, actually. All BJ really needs to do, is get the hot hand and make his buckets. As was mentioned here earlier - when Ellis drives the lane, he's hard to defend. I don't think having both of these guys on the court is a bad thing at all!

This will continue to work as long as Jennings and Monta both continue to make their teammates better.

I can't get over how good Davis was. Wow he's going to be a stud.

Yep. He's a future 23/14/4 type, IMO. Crazy skilled.

Ridiculous, isn't he.

Good to see our players mostly playing to their strengths. Jennings/Duns shooting when set, Ellis taking it to the hole. Jennings running the break, Ellis setting up others with his penetration.

You just now figuring that out? He is every bit as dynamic as Westbrook is at attacking the rim or D-Wade with better body control...

And he is dishing and playing some attack mode style defense as well and making guys like Sanders, Harris, Henson, Udoh, Delembert and Ersan better players and giving them better looks early in the game, and he turns it on late... 6-2.

And what more can you ask from a PG-SG then that!?

An co-MVP type (yes I said it...) performance from him and Jennings thus far when you look at what they have to work with and what they are up against with their contract status and all....

I am proud of them as a Bucks fan and pulling for them to keep the heat turned it!

Ellis has always had the physical tools to be a legit all star caliber stud. He used to be maybe the fastest guy in the league before the scooter injury. Its always been mental with him. Hopefully he can continue to limit those long 2 attempts and stay with the drive and dish. When he attacks the rim and looks to pass when it isn't there good things happen for us.

Thing that I hate with Monta and he did it tonight as well. He attacks the rim really well. Be it him putting up a shot at the rim or dishing it to the big man or finding someone out behind the ark. But then he kills it all by chucking up ill advised long two's. Some will hit and some wont. But my god it kills the teams momentum. Less long two's and more attacking the rim and I'd less my dislike for him.

New Orleans has a big frontline...

Ryan Anderson, Anthony Davis, Aminu, and Lopez....and they attack the boards well. You couldn't tell that they played last night too.

Yes they were...they were energetic all night. Especially after Larry elbows Jason Smith and they started chanting Larry! Larry! Larry!

The crowd is getting better.

Skiles wanted defense in at the end of the game, thus Udoh over Ersan.

He willl be okay...if you do not box him out. If you put a body on him at PF you can bully him. I was not that impressed. This was their first time seeing him and he is acitve. He has a good stroke at the free throw line.

Can you imagine if the Bucks had him?

The Bucks obviously did not scout the Hornets well...because it looked like the Bucks were surprised by him early as a rookie they never seen and then he got rolling and jumped over Ersan all day and ran around Udoh.

Anthony Davis looks legit. Austin Rivers on the other hand, looks like he should have stayed in school. Thinking they could start him at PG this season was insane.
