Of course I expect a big rebound when Nash gets back. But good times, good times right now.

I'd much prefer a Taj Gibson contract or better yet letting him go to RFA the following summer just so we can make sure this level of play continues to two full seasons.

Good times, Good times.

That said, if he and their next draft pick have the same amount of impact on wins as Harden alone would have I would be extremely surprised. If Harden wasn't a rebuilding piece himself being only 23 this would definitely be different, but Harden is a guy you can win with now and build with in the future.

I think Washington is good with either guy and I'm just not as quick to say Harden is (or will be) that much better than Beal, if at all.

Harden and Beal play against each other tonight.

That is ridiculous. I'll put it in my sig so we can all laugh about it over the next couple years. The likelihood of Beal being as good as Harden is right now is miniscule, and Harden is still only 23 and in his first season as the man.

Dragic just hit a gamewinner on a sleeping Marc Gasol.

Brad Beal is also 19. It's just too early to make absolutes in these careers. Wizards fought tonight, but certainly didn't have enough. Harden was really good.

Tough loss for Memphis tonight in Phoenix.

I like Goran.

Am I the only one who thinks that Marc Gasol always looks like he's asleep?

I love Marc Gasol's game. Memphis has one of the most fun squad's to watch in the NBA. Tonight sucked, however.

Mo with a deep 3 game winner versus the Spurs. Somewhere jerrod is very happy.

On 16-23 ft jumpers Beal is shooting a Monta Ellis like 28% on 4 attempts per game. That's a big problem. Conversely, it's encouraging that he's finishing at the rim, getting to the line at a decent clip, and posting a positive A/T.

Beal's college stats projected him to be a lesser Harden, but Beal is very young and he's facing a little more adversity than Harden as a rookie. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out. A good case study.

He's been really good for the Jazz.

Brad Beal wasn't even a great shooter in college which is why I never got the Allen comparisons. He shots like 33% from the college three.

He has a beautiful looking shot, it just doesn't go in a lot.

Bradley Beal on a rookie contract is probably worth more and easier to build a team around than Harden at $80M. Especially when you consider he derails their best route of tanking even though Grunfeld got Okafor, Nene and Ariza to win now, you'd think they'd be ready to a pay a guy like Harden. They'll get another high draft pick and Wall/Beal and top pick will have something going next year maybe.

What's up with the Nuggets this season? It's early but it seems like something isn't working.

Their board is talking a lot about trading Gallinari in particular. Would we pursue him or some other Denver trade do we think?

I don't see the point in tanking for a guy you hope to one day be as good as the 23 year old you could have for sure had.

They've played 17 games on the road, so that might have something to do with their slow start atm. I guess no one is panicking there yet because of that. They're 5-1 at home. I expect they'll be somewhere in the top 8 eventually.

Who really knows what the terms of the deal were. Houston had to give up a ton to get Harden and I imagine Washington would have as well.

I always thought he was closer to Eric Gordon than Ray Allen. He's just got looks like Allen so of course people gravitate to that comparison.

At this very moment Harden is clearly the better player. What I was saying was Beal at 19 vs Harden at 19 and their respective careers moving forward from that point. In addition to that, Beal hasn't had the luxury of coming up in the Thunder program while deferring to Durant. Although I will say Beal needs to start hitting his jumper at a higher clip.

I think as their careers progress, the players will be much closer in play quality and production than some allude to as if it were a route by Harden.

My statement is far from ridiculous as I'm saying I won't make absolute determinations about players who are in the infancy of their careers and things change. I think it's ridiculous to believe you can define who a player is with 100% certainty 20 games into a career.

I'll just wait until Beal starts making whatever statistical expecations people have of him and suddenly people will start liking him.

Forgot that OKC had Toronto's 1st in that Houston deal and not Houston's 1st. It's top 3 protected this year, top 2 in 2014, and top 1 in 2015. So at worst, they get it next year in likely a better draft. And they are on pace to win 66 games and got Martin and Lamb. Be funny if they landed around 4-6, and landed Poythress. Westbrook/Thabo/Durant/Ibaka/Perkins with a bench of Maynor/Lamb/Jones III/Poythress/Collison. Best run team in the NBA.

LOl @ Dwight saying he already knows where he who he will sign with next season. As of now I'm pretty sure it ain't the Lakers. I can't think of many teams that's ready to win now that will have max cap space available.
